^ Very sad.  Frankie Knuckles crossed many boundaries in his career.  He got black and white gay men to dance with each other.  He got straight people to dance in gay nightclubs (and the other way 'round.)  He kept his flavor of dance music alive during the era when "disco" was always followed by "sucks."  The term "house music" comes from the Warehouse, the club where Frankie held his residency.

We watched both Blazing Saddles and High Anxiety recently and he was so frickin hilarious. RIP HK

Oh, wow.....LOVED Harvey Korman in so many things, especially the live skits with Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show.....

I'm so glad we had this time together.....RIP Harvey.

This is actually Tim Conway at his best with physical humor, but I've always loved the way Harvey tries so hard to swallow his laughter.

RIP, HK.  Busted a gut countless times watching him.  I think because you got the sense that he was having so much fun making us laugh just added to the experience.

Mickey Rooney died today at age 93.  Such a lovable guy, and like Harvey, he really made me laugh as well.  I think it's fair to say that most of his body of work was before my time, so I remember him mostly as an older guy who was a great 'show biz' story teller on the late night talk shows.  RIP.

RIP to both....haven't seen much of Rooney's work, did see a recorded stand-up of John Pinette some time ago.  Stopped watching Seinfeld fairly early on, so didn't remember him from that.

Dang!  I just knew that John Pinette wouldn't last long, just like John Candy and Louie Anderson.  These guys were great comics, but just so big...  RIP.

Sounds harsh but if you are known as the big funny guy and then all of a sudden you lose weight it might damage your career. I think that's why allot of people stay big even after they've had their breakthrough. Sort of a brand recognition i guess...

Anyway, RIP i saw his standup a couple of times and it was enjoyable.

Peaches Geldof dead at 25.  Daughter of Bob Geldof leaves behind a husband and 2 children.

R.I.P. Princess Lacey

She died last night at only 8 years old.  I have followed this story from the beginning of the college basketball season.  Lacey Holsworth and Adrienne Payne have touched my life and made it better.  May her spirit burn brightly.

One of my brothers in-law passed away today.  He loved his family, fishing and telling jokes.  He will surely be missed.  He was one that would call me regularly to see how I was.  Now who will do that?  R.I.P. Bruce.

RIP Lacey.  I saw her story and it was awesome, just so sad a beautiful young child has to pass.

And RIP Bruce...good guys like that can be rare.
