Voltron Posted July 28, 2025 Report Posted July 28, 2025 I guess he gave up the ghost when he heard Dr. Demento announce his retirement and the end of his show. 2

When I wasn't watching the Braves, I was watching the Cubs on WGN. RIP, Ryno. https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/28/sport/hall-of-famer-ryne-sandberg-dead-spt 5

Knuckledragger Posted August 21, 2025 Report Posted August 21, 2025 Focus on the Family founder James Dobson croaked. Suddenly I'm in the mood to say good things about Hulk Hogan, if you take my meaning. 1 1

jpelg Posted September 5, 2025 Report Posted September 5, 2025 One of the greatest clothing designers ever, Giorgio Armani, has died at the age of 91: I am sure he came into my orbit in 1980 as the person who created Richard Gere's iconic looks in the movie "American Gigolo": RIP to a legend in the industry. 10
HiWire Posted September 5, 2025 Report Posted September 5, 2025 I think a lot of the iconic clothes of Miami Vice were from Armani, too. Truly a giant in his field and a style icon.
skullguise Posted September 6, 2025 Report Posted September 6, 2025 RIP to a hockey legend, Ken Dryden. Even as a Boston Bruins fan and forever-enemy of the Montreal Canadiens, he was something special. And fuck fuck fuck cancer! https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/ken-dryden-obit-1.7627028 5

Voltron Posted September 7, 2025 Report Posted September 7, 2025 That sucks, but I do love the quote in that article that he died "a after a long struggle with life." My friends' band that I managed for a time used to play Sex Bomb as an encore, especially at parties. RIP Mr Loose 1

Absorbine_Sr Posted September 8, 2025 Report Posted September 8, 2025 Mark Volman of The Turtles, Zappa's Mothers, Flo & Eddie and much more, passed away last week. 7
Knuckledragger Posted September 10, 2025 Report Posted September 10, 2025 Charlie Kirk officially dead. Dude was an inauthentic, dark money backed grifter. For years we made jokes about an entire generation being unsure of the exact size of his face. There's even a web widget based around it. He certainly did not deserve to be shot and killed. As for the rest of us, this bodes poorly for the future of our political landscape. 2 3
