August 13, 201510 yr I have built one of the Fat PS boards , kgsshvpssicfetsinglenewrightfatgerbers dated Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 2:38:28 PMand want to report that it works...408vdc at anything above 310vac input, bias is also good.
August 13, 201510 yr I have found that zeners tend to run at a higher voltage than rated when warm... plus there's the 5% spec. Did you hand-pick them to be as close to the called-for voltage as possible? Do you find that the bias gets up to >600V after warming up?
August 13, 201510 yr posted for congo5power supply board known working as expected from kerry's and my prototypesfor the 400v version, input AC needs to be at least 310vacwhich would make 350vac necessary for the 450v versionso with clearance i would pick 360 vac under load for the 400v version (500v caps sufficient) and390 vac under load for the 450v version (550v or more caps sufficient) Edited August 13, 201510 yr by kevin gilmore

Did you hand-pick them to be as close to the called-for voltage as possible? Do you find that the bias gets up to >600V after warming up?Not using this board for a while, if at all.. But of the 5 amps here, I have not seen any over 600v when warm.but will check again, I would think 5% would be fine. 550v-610veasy enough to change one for 20v lower or higheralso how do I know which of my 7 or so Digital Multimeters is right?Wouldn't even 10% be safe for the phones?
