  • Turns out the damage was a bit more severe than a bad cable. They could still be repaired for less than the cost of a new pair, but not enough less that it seemed worth it. So new Etys are on the way.

  • That's because you're supposed to put them in your ears!

  • So the LCD3 Zebrawood showed back up tonight and I think I just bought a pair. Rob, you get the LCD5 and we'll compare and see if they're worth it, kay?

Looks like a good opportunity to go custom.

Its not like I get to keep the broken pair. :P

Do they still work? I'd fill those bitches with epoxy and call it a day. If they're built like the se530's the housing is arbitrary since the armature drivers are completely sealed by themselves. Filling them with epoxy wouldn't change how they sound and you could probably drive over them and they'd still work.

paging postjack

hate to be a chooser but I'd really rather pay a little more and have it already in an external enclosure.

Hmm, thats an option. I'll probably do that if my pair breaks again.

external drives (usually) dont carry as long a warranty as internals. again, usually 1 yr vs 3-5 years

Another reason I like Seagate: full 5 year warranty on all their retail drives internal and external.

Elusive Disc has their final shipment in of The Beatles Mono Box Set and right now it's at $199.99, the lowest price compared to Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds, even Amazon: https://www.elusivedisc.com/prodinfo.asp?number=EMICDB99451

Unknown how long the lowered price will last though. And if you order within the next hour (by 6 PM EST today) you can also get free UPS ground shipping with code FREEUPSG.

Get it here: 13 Deals and use my code "christmas508638872" to get two dollars off to make it $3.99. (one time use)

cool, bought two. Your code didn't work for me though :(

hm, is this a decent deal?

It's an ok deal. They had it at $45 on and off recently. I kinda like the Head-Direct RE-02 over them for cheaper tho...

FOr all of you waiting for you triple-fi's to ship, I just got an email saying mine have, though UPS doesn't seem aware of that yet.

I think he meant the TV ;)
