  • Turns out the damage was a bit more severe than a bad cable. They could still be repaired for less than the cost of a new pair, but not enough less that it seemed worth it. So new Etys are on the way.

  • That's because you're supposed to put them in your ears!

  • So the LCD3 Zebrawood showed back up tonight and I think I just bought a pair. Rob, you get the LCD5 and we'll compare and see if they're worth it, kay?

Excellent deal, and everything (except the car adapter) looks OEM, but then there's the recent seizure of counterfeit lightning cables that's worth keeping in mind:

Actually, I'm pretty sure none of that is OEM. From the redeemer:

An interesting breakdown of various USB chargers can be found here, of note documenting the differences between a fake Apple charger and a real one. After reading that, I've started avoiding the fakes (available for pennies on eBay)--they scare me now.

Today only Tapatalk HD for Android $0.99 (down from $4.99) reviews are mixed as to if it is an improvement over Tapatalk on Adroid tablets. Could be worth getting now, to see if updates improve it.

...which is weird, because it's targeted specifically at Android tablets 7 inches and up.

Also, I just tried to buy it in anticipation of my future Nexus 10, and it won't let me.  It needs a compatible device now.

^Which is probably why I could purchase it on my nexus 7 Can you gift on google play?

for Program Code enter: 05383F4FAC

for Work Email: just use your Hotmail account

You can then buy Office 2013 for $9.95 plus tax

it's the home use program so I suspect that this will be killed soon, but I figure for $10 I might as well give it a shot.

I can get that deal through work, I even signed up but never bought it, but that was for the 2010 edition.  Now that the 2013 is out (I knew it was, and I didn't know how many copies I could get, or do upgrades/whatnot), I'm going to have to do this.  Thanks for the reminder.

Didn't work for me.  Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Check your company's "employee incentives" site.  There's a chance this could be on there.  (With your own company's code).

Oh, this came up for facebook employees a while back, so they used their @facebook.com e-mail addresses.  Well, EVERYONE on FB has one of those, so a TON of people were getting it that way, once the Program Code was released.  It was pretty funny.  :)

Yeah, I just realized that my workplace has the program as well. Just means I can get two copies if I wanted :)
