May 21, 20206 yr 5lbs of home made bacon. 10 days to make. 5 days cure. 5 days rest. Cooked up first test slices.. it is nice, with no bad stuff in it. It is a touch salty, but can refine the cure in the future. Followed this guy, we use to watch the show. And we have his books. Cheers And bacon on...
May 21, 20206 yr We're now using bacon from these guys https://www.finnebrogue.com/naked/our-range/naked-bacon/ that has no artificial curing agents. It is on supermarket shelves and is delicious. And hardly more expensive than regular bacon.
August 15, 20205 yr Batch two of home made bacon. Salt Sugar Pepper Black pepper seeds Coriander seeds Mustard seeds 5 days cure, 10 days hung to dry. The other 5lbs is in the fridge. Sooo good.
