Dusty Chalk
This guy could claim he did everything as a Klaus Schulze tribute, and I wouldn't be any the wiser.

Dusty Chalk
Was: Klaus Schulze, Androgyn RIYL: Klaus Schulze, although this is one of his best new releases in years. It's very mellow, even for him. (A lot of his releases are either synthesizer noodling over a sequence, or weird collaborations with vocalists or other instrumentalists like cellists.) Is: Eno, Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy and Before and After Science

jose
I don´t like Marilyn Manson but when I saw John Lowery (John 5) the first time I thought there was something special about him. I have always liked his way of playing several opposing styles (metal~glam~ country) and I think he is a very underrated musician. John 5 and the Creatures: Turn up the volume of your amps! Voltron
Prepping for the show tonight. Somewhat last-minute decision in part to wash away the incredibly disappointing Decemberists show last night. Took Alden and a buddy for his last show before heading to school and it was a bust. Colin Meloy is burnt out or something and they played a bunch of shit songs and few hits and had an over-long interlude as Off (read Awful) Rex with Olivia Chaney. Total bummer for Alden who loves [almost] everything Decemberists. Come on Matthew, don't let us down tonight!

I was just posting elsewhere about how I had no idea how good he was while he was in Marillyn Manson until I found out he had a signature tele, and went looking. Hopstretch
Disclaiming the anime content, this is an absolutely sparkling power pop song. Al's fault for getting me thinking about Matthew Sweet again. 1
