CSC is giving me a vote on where they contribute their money this year, and all the others are children based, which doesn't interest me, so it's down to these two. Does anyone know anything about either of them? No need to "lmgtfy", iwgtfm, tyvm. Sometimes someone has information or strong feelings one way or the other.

Our cat Jazz had been having trouble breathing for about 24 hours so we called the vet. Due to the hour we brought him to an emergency clinic. They X-Rayed his chest and found a large growth pushing on his lungs. They thought they might be able to help him out and drain some fluid, but it wasn't fluid, it was a cancerous growth. It was inits final stages and there was nothing left to do. So I let me little furry buddy go. Once when I posted a pic of him on some "post pics of your pets" thread, a fellow Head-Fier said that Jazz looked like he had a bit of the devil in him...he was right. Jazz was a kitten to he end. He sat on my lap and I listened to cans and kept my le…

I use my phone a lot for internet. Opera Mini does a great job at formatting almost all pages and makes it breeze to use. However, it has trouble with HC. HF formats just fine, but i think its because of different forum software. Would it be possible to make thi wonderful place more mobile friendly?

On the way to the Philippines on 12/14 I will be in O'Hare from around 8am until my flight at 2pm. I don't plan on waiting the full 6 hours in the airport.....any suggestions on places I can go nearby to pass the time by? As long as it's within reasonable distance via public transportation or cab, I'm game for it. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I figured I would post this to my friends here at HC. I certainly support the cause as a Type 1 Diabetic and I do not believe I will have any trouble meeting my numbers but any support for the cause means a lot to me. Let's see, you must be 35 by now? Have an incredible birthday old man! Time does fly! You were my first friend in this headphone hobby. I have enjoyed that friendship immensely. First closeby, and now further apart. Your entire family is beautiful! Though I wouldn't recognize half of them today! 🙂

Alright, so I recently found out that Manga released a dub of this in the UK -- does anyone know if Dreamworks has any plans to negotiate something similar for the US? Or should I just go ahead and get the UK version? Also, according to the Wiki page, if the DVD says "V4" on the spine, then the subtitling is corrected (I.E. it's no longer the closed captioned version). Hirsch, you should do this. Then, you'd at least get the non-intrusive subtitles, for free, no less.

Or the myths which people like to parrot to the point where they've become accepted "fact". 1) Grados don't really need an amp and don't benefit all that much from one. While it's true that Grados will sound pretty decent straight out of a PCDP or iPod, they improve a hell of a lot when driven off a good amp. A 225 is pretty listenable out of my Walkman, but gets a fair bit better out of my Gilmore Lite, and it's better still on Biggie's pimped out tube amp. I'd argue that a Grado will scale as nicely as any other headphone. 2) The "tube sound" myth. Tube amps have rolled off highs & lows, rounded off transients, lacking dynamics, fuzzy imaging, but great midran…

Don't have time to sit around listening to all those damned albums? Well, here's all of the Beatles UK albums compressed into a single 1 hour MP3 by speeding them up 800%. http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/10/the-complete-be.html Enjoy!

Here's the deal: Many of you know I've been looking for work for a good while. This company (Liberty National Insurance) has been recruiting in my area, and the spiel is enticing. Follow the plan, do the legwork, work hard, get well compensated. I've read pros and cons about this place (not unlike many/most places out there), and it's obvious some people can't hack it, and some don't get good trainers, and it just doesn't work for everyone, and that's fine. I'm just trying to figure out if anyone has any first/second-hand knowledge of the firm, and those thoughts. Seems you have to be a licensed insurance agent, and I got all the info on where to do the online c…
