Hope it is a good one, and by that I mean you did not bother going into work.

Does anyone here have a fancy robot that goes around doing the boring dirty work, cleaning all the vacuum at home? I was thinking perhaps the Roomba could work... but I'm not sure if it's the Stax of vacuum cleaners, or if it's more like the Bose of floor sweeping robots. Do you have a robot floor sweeper at home? Is it good?

After a two year headphone hiatus, I'm back, having just purchased some SR-009's, coupled with being in Reykjavik and finally meeting Spritzer in person. His hospitality has been great and I'm thrilled to have the new headphones; on the downside, I'm going to need a fuck-ton of money to properly amplify my electrostatic collection. So, before you think of giving to UNICEF or some Ebola research site, please contact me - I'm not sick and I need amp money!

So Karen is running the Chicago Marathon for St. Judes on October 12, 2014. This is the sixth straight year she has run it and she is now older than I was when we met. As parents of a child who had some issues at a young age (but thankfully not anything that required a visit to St. Judes) this is a charity that is very close to our hearts. I am a little late in posting this year but if you can donate, that would be great, but well wishes are also very welcome. You can donate at the following link: http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Heroes/Heroes?px=2199704&pg=personal&fr_id=19570 Thanks for the support.

My wife was hoping to do a fundraiser sometime this year for the American Cancer Society in memory of her mom who passed away about 3 years ago. Unfortunately I knocked her up and she never had opportunity to do any major event. So I'm stepping in and using the ACS Events tool to raise money for my ride on September 21st 2014. The event is the Back Roads Century (http://www.backroadscentury.org/). It's a moderate century and not as epic as some of the other people around here have completed recently but it still should be fun and I hope you guys and gals can help me raise money for a good cause. The donation link is here: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/Chris_Kent

Now I've seen everything. I just received a call from a (800) number to my Verizon cell phone with a pre-recorded message telling me to claim my Verizon wireless reward by logging on to Verizon18.com. I had my doubts, but the website looked identical to the real Verizon website, and when I clicked on certain parts of the fake website such as "customer service," it brought up the reall verizon wireless customer service page, so the scam is designed well. What gave it away was it requiring you to type in the ID, password, then the last 4 of social security number. This now appears very dangerous, and I called Verizon, they confirmed this is not a Verizon website or …

So, a couple of days ago, on my birthday (which I deleted from my profile...ha ha ha ha ha!) I get this box. I knew it was coming 'cuz Kevin G. asked me my for my address but wouldn't tell me what was up. I open it up...and what do I find? This! Nice t-shirt...sadly very appropriate...I laughed long and hard. Been gaining weight, damit. Many of my Hawaiian shirts are not fitting very well. Don't know if Wink actually noticed that or not, but the little dude done me right!!! In the box were numerous Hawaiian shirts, all of which appropriately sized for my ample proportion. Thanks budd…

Our dryer is slowly dying. Anyone get a gas dryer that they really like or know models to avoid? I don't need any fancy smartphone technology shit, just one that works, doesn't break for a long time (or ever, yeah right), and get really really hot*. Unfortunately, they don't seem to publish dryer temperatures. I also don't want something with a steam feature. I would prefer to have a dryer with a detachable rack for drying sweaters, shoes, etc but that is not a necessity. Right now I am just looking at the top rated dryer at Best Buy. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstemplatemapper.jsp?_dyncharset=UTF-8&_dynSessConf=3604863170801698822&id=…

Taking Julie to the French Quarter for our third year anniversary (Aug 12th). Can't believe she has tolerated me for three years now! We get in to New Orleans at 7:25pm on Aug 8th and fly out at 4pm on Aug 12th. Already have tickets for the WW 2 Museum. Any suggestions from those in the area or have visited the region in the past? Neither of us drink so the suggestions need not revolve around bars unless of course they serve good food/have good music. I don't do well with loud music in closed off places so suggestions for open areas would be great. Also, looking for suggestions for non touristy food places that don't cost an arm/leg. Something the locals would enjoy. The …
