Did anyone else feel that Crash wasn't really the best film of 2005. I thought that at least one of the other 4 were better than Crash. Oh well, at least Philip Seymour Hoffman won an Oscar for Capote...he was brilliant.....IMHO of course

Republican Voters Stay Home Anti-Incumbency Wins? By J.B. Williams If I could get a dollar for every time we are going to hear the word ?mandate? in the next 72 hours, I could get out of Dodge and retire to a Caribbean island in style, where I wouldn?t have to endure this? Speaker Elect Pelosi and Senate Leader Elect Reid are two of the most anti-American socialist members of Congress - now in control of Congress. They can thank Republican voters for their new-found power, but they won?t. They will jam it up their bumm instead? Five of nine registered voters are registered Republican, making it a numerical impossibility for socialist Democrats to win power in…

I thought twice about posting this here since it became a bit long, but it's something I just wrote in my blog with my thoughts about this issue. I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, and this text just contains my reflections on the subject. I know you guys are not very much into long texts - as I've learned in my JH13 review -, but I hope I can be excused since this isn't a review and to me it's a rather complex issue, so drying it out would probably make it less successful in expressing what's complex to me. I posted this here in the off-topic since that way, if no one becomes interested, it can simply become lost in oblivion or deleted. Still, if anyone…

Considering getting one (Bosch brand) as an upgrade to go with the soon to be installed completely new furnace and AC system. Sounds awesome. Energy savings, save money after several years, current rebate from ComEd, and we have wind sourced electricity. Especially concerned about reliability and durability due to Chicago winters. Also a new model and apparently the first that can be used with any other brand AC/furnace. Anyone have experience?

Head-Fi DIY Exodus ex?o?dus (ĕk'sə-dəs) n. a journey by a large group to escape from a hostile environment (July 2005) Readers of Head-Fi DIY may have noticed that some of the regular members have been quiet for the past few months, and some have disappeared altogether. A growing conflict of interest between some members and management at Head-Fi centers around the following issues: Head-Fi management is largely unaware of what goes on in the Head-Fi DIY forum Head-Fi is driven by commercial interests, site traffic, and the need for sponsor contributions, not the well being of DIY forum members some community service volunteers are labeled "Member of the Trade",…

Currently, I'm driving a '91 Honda Accord with about 120,000 miles. It's in wonderful condition...but it has no AC. Now, living in Pittsburgh this wouldn't be a problem, but now I'm in Houston. Before moving down here I thought I'd be able to tough it out until the end of the year, but my sweaty balls are begging for a new car now. Originally I wanted to buy a lightly used car, but now I'm starting to get interested in leasing a brand new one. Given I live 3 miles from my office, restaurants, stores, banks, etc I won't have a problem staying under 12,000 miles a year. Plus, I get the added benefit of having a new car and the assistence of some maintainence. However, I'…

My sister is overseas in Bulgaria supporting our government and our troops, and in between supporting them, she's doing volunteer work for a dog rescue organization, so I guarantee you this is legit. If you are even remotely considering getting a dog, please do seriously consider her plea and very generous offer. And yes, this is the same sister that is sending me the Bulgarian cat. Contact me for contact information, and I'll either put you in touch with my sister or one of the people who run the center directly.
