Looks like head-fi is back in business. I've got all my parts intact, but I went from a Headphoneus Supremus to a 100+ Member! Oh well... Doesn't look like I'm alone in that boat. In the end, this has worked out great, cause now I found another great headphone site!

Donor has been pretty active in the "for sale" areas on Head-Fi. Well, turns out our boy donor is pulling a fast one on us. He runs the headphone product review site www.headphonesrock.com. He talks to manufacturers to get review samples and then turns around and sells them to folks here. We just caught him red handed. He had the gaul to have us ship the unit directly to the buyer saying the buyer was a reviewer ... which of course he wasn't. Un-friggen-believable! Just wanted to let everyone know that Larry and his daughter were in a terrible car accident this week. Another driver approaching Larry from the opposite direction lost control of his vehicle when both were approaching a previous crash site. The oncoming driver crossed the highway in front of Larry's car and they collided at high speed.Both Larry and his daughter survived but sustained several major injuries. Luckily for them, the EMS folks were literally mins away at the previous crash site and were treating their injuries almost immediately. I'm taking Zoe and her friend to the Panic! At The Disco/Weezer concert (while I am attending the Weezer/PATD concert). I want to get some earplugs for everyone. I can handle the Ety ones, but not sure if they could. Are there any good "musician" or "concert" ear plugs you guys recommend? Are the ER-20s still worth getting, or would I want something better? (Zoe and her friend won't use them much, but I could use them at band rehearsal/other concerts, so I could go with something a little more long term.) Considering getting one (Bosch brand) as an upgrade to go with the soon to be installed completely new furnace and AC system. Sounds awesome. Energy savings, save money after several years, current rebate from ComEd, and we have wind sourced electricity. Especially concerned about reliability and durability due to Chicago winters. Also a new model and apparently the first that can be used with any other brand AC/furnace. Anyone have experience?

Apparently, the almuni committee where I work voted, and I was chosen, among a few others, to be in a dunk tank for a fund-raising event tomorrow where alumni, family, and other staff puchase balls to throw. I have just been told I am supposed to heckle the throwers. This is sooooo not my forte. The only things I can think of to say probably are what got me in the voted in the dunk tank in the first place, but hardly heckles, or else wildly inappropriate things that would guarantee I'd never be in the dunk tank again, as I would have no more job. I believe this was a thread started in 2006 or 2007 (on Head-Case with the old forum software). And I'm pretty sure 909 started it- it was asking about potentiometer replacements for a Moth amp. There were a a lot of suggestions in that thread, which then went off topic with marijuana jokes. Does anyone remember this thread? I've used every possible search string I could think of and I still can't find it. Admins- any way of checking if it was deleted by accident? edit: I suppose the real thing I wanted out of that thread was where I could buy an ALPS RK40 from. I think someone posted a link to a German seller that had them.
