I'm considering converting my garage to a music/home theater. I am considering doing it with my brother in law. He is a pretty handy and with a good set of plans, should be able to do this with my limited assistance. I've been searching for plans online but I haven't been able to find actual plans and/or materials needed. I realize this will vary depending on size, etc. This brings me to my question. Is there anyone here that would be able to do a design for me? I would be willing to pay for the assistance. The garage is 20' x 18'. I am figuring the room would be 15' x 12' (could be a bit bigger or smaller). I want to leave some room for storage. Electrical w…

I know he's ugly but he's so sweet and friendly that I couldn't resist him at the animal shelter. Don't let his gruff, wild cat like looks fool you, he's the friendliest cat I've met. He starts to purr as soon as anybody enters the rooms he's in.

I believe this was a thread started in 2006 or 2007 (on Head-Case with the old forum software). And I'm pretty sure 909 started it- it was asking about potentiometer replacements for a Moth amp. There were a a lot of suggestions in that thread, which then went off topic with marijuana jokes. Does anyone remember this thread? I've used every possible search string I could think of and I still can't find it. Admins- any way of checking if it was deleted by accident? edit: I suppose the real thing I wanted out of that thread was where I could buy an ALPS RK40 from. I think someone posted a link to a German seller that had them.

I just missed the auction of CDP, man, fucking IT people, at my office, just make impossible to bid, damnnnnnn.... We had an X-mas drink at our canteen, so, I went to my PC to make my fucking bid to UNISON CDP, but they have planned some fucking upgrade at the same time, cos everyone was away from their PC's, so, INTERNET simply was DOWN for 10 minutes, while the auction was ending in the same 10 minutes time, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? Only one thing I can say, FUCK... Sorry for all that fuck, just pissed...

When I am in the store trying some new stuff I just cant choose a single shit from it. Just today tried 10 CD's and only one came a bit closer to my liking, so, I am starting to asking myself: "Whats wrong with me?" I listen to a lot of differ gengres, not all kind, but still, but seems that my collection arent going to be huge, ever... For example R.Blackmore's last project, Blackmore's Night, I HATE every single piece of it. I forced myself to buy double live CD and after just couple of minutes I am done... I'm curious - how many of you here have perfect pitch? For those who don't know, perfect pitch or absolute pitch is the ability to recognize a note that's being played without any reference. I don't have it personally and it's something that's been bugging me for a while... I mean, I listen to music everyday, I've been playing music since a very young age, both alone and in orchestras/harmonies, so I've been surrounded by music for as long as I can remember, but I still can't identify notes by ear. Some people have this ability naturally, others don't and scientifics still don't have solid evidences about the cause of this.
