My wife was hoping to do a fundraiser sometime this year for the American Cancer Society in memory of her mom who passed away about 3 years ago. Unfortunately I knocked her up and she never had opportunity to do any major event. So I'm stepping in and using the ACS Events tool to raise money for my ride on September 21st 2014. The event is the Back Roads Century (http://www.backroadscentury.org/). It's a moderate century and not as epic as some of the other people around here have completed recently but it still should be fun and I hope you guys and gals can help me raise money for a good cause. I drove down to my Granddad's house this weekend to attend his 90th Birthday party. It was the very first Birthday party he's ever had in all of his 90 years. About 80 friends and relatives drove down to share the very special day with him. This was the second time I've ever seen him tear up. The first was when my Grandmother passed away. He was absolutely shocked when he walked into the Church rec. rm. and saw how many people showed up. It was the best day I've had in a long time. My three flavors of Bacon Salt arrived today (original, hickory, and peppered). I bought some fries and put some original on. First off all it doesn't stick very well. But more importantly it doesn't taste very good either... very "mesquitey". Tastes kind of like bacon, but crappy bacon. I'm earth-shatteringly disappointed... :'(

After a two year headphone hiatus, I'm back, having just purchased some SR-009's, coupled with being in Reykjavik and finally meeting Spritzer in person. Ok so here is the story.. you all know I have to live at home due to family probelms (not mine but other members) as in caring for someone and helping them. anyway its a great living place really, my parents and I in a three floor house. they leave me alone and we really are almost best friends sort of. so my sister and her boyfriend is staying at the house for the holidays cause they live in utah, anyway... my sister is sleeping down stairs with her bf rite outside my bedroom..nothing bad to me besides no real speaker or headphone time at night just cause I wanna be respectful to them..i really dont mind taking a week off of listening for my sisters sleeping.. …

I have a bunch of baseball cards that could have some value. Does anyone here have experience selling cards? Is there a good site that gives ballpark values to cards? Basically, help me sell these things so I can buy MOAR GEAR! Thanks.

We're mostly all grown ups now, with realistic ideas and expectations. Show us who you were when your goals and dreams were unhindered by caution flags and dead end roads. I wasn't overly unique, I wanted to be a rock star. Didn't matter that I couldn't sing. Yes those were my real teeth.

Hey everyone, Earl just told me about this new forum this morning and I've spent the last little while reading through the Ruh roh thread, all 22 pages. It's funny, before I was talking to Earl this morning I was thinking about my latest run-in with the mod squad on Head-Fi and thinking someone really needs to start another forum where the good folks can hang out. Boy was I suprised and glad to see someone has done just that and it looks to already be getting a decent amount of traffic from some of the HF regulars. Well done!
