Hey everyone, For those who don't know, Kristen (kids' mom) has worked at Seattle Humane since it opened its new facility about 2 years ago. They've been largely closed to the public and have had most of their animals in foster care during COVID, but their situation is starting to change and they're now able to take in some more surgeries/surrenders and start helping animals and families in this area again. I am thinking of getting a security camera for my office as I think that the cleaning person like to hang out in some of the offices with couches here. May also get one for the house since we have a dog and it's easier to check up on her that way. Any recommendations? I am not sure how the wifi with the camera might work since we have to log into the wifi here to use it (not just put in a pw). So maybe bluetooth may work better? I have a Mac at home and in the office. I was looking at Nest.

Last week there was a small-plane crash in East Palo Alto (SF Bay Area), killing three Tesla Motors employees and knocking out power to a chunk of Silicon Valley for much of the day. (Amazingly nobody on the ground was killed despite the plane striking a home child day-care facility.) East Palo Alto contains some dodgy areas, and is outfitted with the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system. My water heater is about 15 years old, so I've been thinking about getting a new one sometime soon before it blows up on me. With the Federal discount of 30% up to $1500 for all things green set to expire at the end of 2010, I'm deciding if I should go for a tankless or hybrid water heater before the end of the year. My current model is a gas 15 gallon one. It works mostly fine, but at the end of a long shower, it can run out. The hybrids look great, but really expensive, and there aren't too many gas models.
