A heads-up for those in the San Francisco area, The Burning Amp Festival, featuring Nelson Pass, Siegfried Linkwitz and lots of other cool guys. It should be one hell of a treat for anyone in the area who can make it, lots of cool stuff and there'll probably be enough tech talk to make your head spin. It's a great chance to hang out, listen to great gear, and learn more things in one day than you ever thought possible.

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy my first pair of "serious" headphones soon. And from what I've read/been told, I should respect people's opinions, but I should ultimately try any phones I'm considering personally in person. So I was wondering if there were any Head-fi people from the 50th state, Hawaii. I'm located on Oahu, Chinatown area. Is anyone out there willing to allow me to sample some of their gear? So far I'hve only planned to buy ceap KSC 75 and JVC Marshmallows to have a good portable and IEM. To see if I can handle walking around with something sticking in my ears. This is our first full year, legally, as the Atlanta Audio Club, and once again we are honoring our commitment to support Southeastern Region headphone enthusiasts. Had Colin (cetoole) over tonight because he was staying in Toronto for a few days. Had a blast at Turtle Jack's (best burgers in Canada bar none) and a good listening session at my place. I have no impressions because I have nothing new to say about my rig. Will post a few pictures and maybe Colin can chime in. Just want to say thanks Colin for showing up and hopefully the rain won't stop you from visiting again! Next time I promise a better stock of whisky too haha. I took Colin on a mini tour of house.. Since Colin has been gracious enough to let me crash at his place, I'll be in the NYC area from the 7th to the 12th for a couple concerts (7th and 10th). If any NYC area HCers are gonna be free and want to meet up for drinks or food or whatever, let me know and we'll make it happen.

Well, looks like Sherwood and I will be hanging out tomorrow/Saturday for our speaker exchange, so anyone who's in the area is welcome to come over and hang out. Not sure what time Tyler will arrive, but I'd say sometime in the afternoon sounds about right. PM me if you can make it .

As far as I know I'm the only Manitoban posting on HC, but in case anyone is going to be in the area, we have a small Winnipeg group from the other forum who meet up semi-regularly for food and gear. I'm tired of having to buy cans (or con canadians into shipping me new RS-1's) to be able to listen to different things. I know there have been get togethers in TN before, but none I've ever been able to make it to. I nominate Chattanooga. Not only b/c I live here, but its 2 hours or less from Nashville, Knoxville, Cookeville, and Atlanta. If there's anyone around the area, let me know, it could be interesting... **BRENT**

well its not much like the usual meets posted in these boards but oz of let there be sound sent me an email inviting me to a local audiophile's home as he has graciously agreed to let people just walk in and audition his genesis speakers in some uber professionally treated room. also, the president of genesis speakers shall also be there at his house. oz included his cell phone number in case any of you would like to go or have any other questions. i plan on attending sometime after 2pm on sunday so if any fellow headfiers would like to go, pm me and we can meet up somewhere or just head over to the given address. sorry for the late post, but i just got to know about this…
