Well, just wondering if anybody watched E3 this year. Not the craziest year, but Final Fantasy XIII going to the 360 is a pretty big deal. There was some cool stuff from the developers too. If anybody watched it, what did you think?

I really enjoy this series. Has anyone else played it? I find it as good as Final Fantasy and unique because of its gameplay/combat and storyline. I recently saw they are working on the 3rd installment of the series for DS so I'm pretty happy. This is one RPG I reccomend anyone with PSP/PS2 to try out. The original is for PS1 but those cost around $90used and $250+new on ebay nowadays because of it's supply and demand. I'd say just play the PSP reprint with enhanced CG cutscenes. I know it was announced a while ago. But today they released some more news at Blizzard Invitational. Gameplay video and a cinematic trailer. Both available as a Bit Torrent download at their website.

Is anybody else picking this game up? I know I sure am tomorrow after work. I haven't been this phyched for a game since GTAIV and that was like a whole month ago.

This is one of the most amazing pieces of freeware that I've run across in ages. It's not for everyone but I think that for those of you that like it, will like it a lot. You can download it here for both pc and mac osx.

Is there a game for Appleseed? We watched Ex Machina recently, and I thought there was (it's safe to say that based purely on the visuals, there should be), but can't seem to find anything.

So tonight I was playing Resistance Fall Of Man. Deathmatch... which is basically a free-for-all. This one guy kept camping and spawn killing. I called him out and kept killing him since he was staying in the same spot. This guy got so pissed he said "Where do you live?" ? I told him... He says "I'm 20 minutes away. What's your address U fuck? I'll be there with my boys in 20 minutes." Needless to say the rest of the players were like WTF? Of course you know me. I had to keep needling and killing him! I tried to tell him that if my door came down then 12 gage buckshot would follow. Everyone was laughing by the time it was all over. Can't believe …

So I've got the wife's approval on this but I want a rational full run down of why I really should do this. The list that I can come up with goes like this: 1. BluRay player, probably the best of the bunch until Oppo comes out with theirs which may not be until early 09. - Now the question is how is it as a BR player? What sort of remote options are available? Will my Harmony be able to control it? 2. Media center. I've heard rumors about this capability and I'd like to hear more. Saw a video on gametrailers today about the most anticipated games and I just realized that this year is going to be awesome. I know lots of people called last year great, but none of the games really appealed to me. And I don't have or plan on buying an Xbox 360. But this year: Metal Gear 4, GT 4, Final Fantasy 13, Street Fighter 4, Fallout 3 and Starcraft 2. I've spent most of my gaming youth playing their predecessors. Maybe not so innovative but 2008 is going to be great.

Gears of War 2 was announced at GDC today and it's scheduled to come out for the 360 in November.

Not sure if this really belongs here or in the computer advice forum, but here goes. I'm considering picking up a PS3 for its Bluray capabilities and occasional game fun time. What wireless router do you recommend that will work well with the PS3? Other uses will include iPhone around the house internet access, and who knows, maybe a wireless music server a la Squeezebox at some point in the future. I was actually just at Best Buy (which I realized, tonight, without a doubt, that I hate, and I will try to never go in there again) and almost bought a standard Linksys router for $80 or so, but I got cold feet when I realized I didn't know if I'd need something more…

I've only found Mask of the Betrayer and The Witcher. Mass Effect is boring compared to those two. Any suggestions?

It's hard to say if this is just pathetic, kinda sad or funny but after 10+ yrs in development 3D Realms finally released a teaser trailer for Duke Nukem Forever HD Version

I bought this game a few days ago and I can't stop playing. The game is amazing. It's become one of my favorite mario games ever. I like it even better than SMB3 (and I know such a claim is blasphemy!). It starts off way too easy but after the first 60 stars you collect then the game has a sharp incline of difficulty and that's when it gets fun. There is so much variety with the exception of collecting 100 purple coins in every level that something almost always feels fresh. I highly recommend this game.

Has anyone played this yet? The reviews are really good and it sounds like an RPG done right, with the decision making.

Any other Deus Ex fans? Deus Ex 3 has been announced, so I think I'm going to play through one of my favorite FPS again

So I bought this a few days ago, I've been a big fan of whole Unreal series since the original UT came out. I'm happy to say that UT3 continues to have the same fast paced action and absolutely killer graphics as the previous iterations of it have. The Warfare game mode is pretty badass as well. Unfortunately the menu design absolutely blows. It looks like it was put together by a 5th grader and was clearly done so that it would play well with consoles. They are apparently going to fix this in a future patch so I'll be keeping an eye out of that. As I mentioned the graphics are really fantastic, the environment and character textures are well done and very detailed.…

Ok who else is picking up Mass Effect tomorrow?

We tried this with head-fi but it didn't work well because people kinda splintered up into cliques. Anyone interested in getting in some games on friday and saturday nights? That's when i'm usually available. My battlenet nick is: gdloco and i'm on Azeroth US East.
