I dry brined and organic turkey breast, getting ready to wash and pat dry. I'll rub it with olive oil and re-season the skin a bit. I'll roast it at 425 F for 25-30 minutes for crispy skin then turn it down to 325 F and cook it until it reaches 165 F Do you all think that's a good plan?

Gud leftovers over here too. Chorizo-leek-Mikey-bread stuffing supplemented with more chorizo and onions to make hash, with eggs on top. AmEx fraud division called while I was cooking, which made me overcook my eggs. Oh well, still gud.

Looks nice Michael, and agreed on the socket. Having it machined to recess into the front panel might look better as well, but looks great for a prefab case! Hello, everyone. Sharing some phots of my recently built Dynalo mini. I have to thank Kevin, Kerry, and johnwmclean in the first place. My machine is pretty hot compared with others on the forum. The transistor heat sink temperature is 88c with 20mA bias(R14/R29 237ohm), 84C with 17mA bias(R14/R29 220 ohm) The IRM 15-24 power module is 16~18C cooler than the fin. The derating of it starts from 50C and shut down at 70C (ambient temp) This already makes me feel the amp working on the shutdown margin, though the sound is still fine. The forward voltage of D1/D2 LED is 1.794V and the R1/R3(increased to 453 ohm) cross voltage is 1.307V after warmed up which means the constant current 2.8mA. I remember the default constant current is 2.5mA, the Max bias current is 20mA and the normal bias is 15mA? Correct me if I'm wrong. Having no ideas about why my dynalo is hotter than other nearly 25C. Could it just cause by the higher hfe of the PZTA/MMBTA transistors? There are only minimum hfe value shown in the data sheet and no maximum is shown. I'll try 200 ohm and 180 ohm in the next week to see if I can lower the temp to 6xC.

Feature, not a bug. It's a visual oil-level indicator: if it's not leaking, it's out of oil. If it's leaking, you need to add some more oil.

At this point, unless you are crunching a lot of numbers (in which case, don't buy a laptop) I don't think the specs make a whole lot of difference. Hardware has outpaced software, and you won't notice an i5 vs an i7, or a 8g vs 16g. Buy the one that is comfortable, portable, has a screen you can see, and that has a battery that will last. To that end, you can get an X1C5 for under a grand.

Agreed on Dell, Lenovo, Asus for consumer. MSI tends to be more gaming-focused, yes? So features may be more than needed, but quality is there.... FWIW, though, I have heard a LITTLE bit of issues with some of the Dell Inspiron line. But maybe not any more than a good low % of lemons. And also agreed on where not to buy....I have not bought from NewEgg since that RAID enclosure fiasco. Even after I talked to them, and they said it was the corrected unit, they sent me the wrong thing. And then wanted to charge me to ship it back. Scumfucks.

The feature set/price ratio was good, though, so you're on the right track. I'm actually tempted to send this deal to my work's IT department, because they're so cheap, they won't even buy i7 machines for us, and I doubt they paid much less. I've never bought an HP, so wouldn't know. Dell, MSI, Lenovo, Asus, those are the brands I would stick with. Anyone with more recent knowledge should feel free to add to that list. A good way to check is to go to NewEgg's laptop chooser and sort by ratings...and then buy it elsewhere, because you never know when they're going to send you a coatrack instead of a GPS system, and then try and make you pay the restocking fee as well as return shipping..

Very nice. If only I had the ability to keep a vintage bike on the road. It was funny, just this weekend I was at WeatherTech factory store and the Vincent bike they have on display there was leaking quite a bit of oil.

So, what do you guys think of my front panel layout? I would like to loose the indicator mark on the knob, but it functions in four positions alternating between the four options on/off for gain (high and low (MC/MM) and rumble filter (on/off). The LEDs are bi color green/red, green is on/MC and red is off/MM. The power LED is always green. Just using the same value resistor for both colors, they seem to be matched somewhat. The LEDs are from Bivar and the circuit uses one common-anode and one common-cathode. Just for Nate, I avoided blue

Got a shipment in and replaced the 4-pin XLR on my CFP. And, yes, it does look better to my eyes than with the black socket.

Built ikea furniture. Installed this by myself today. Was a royal pain in the ass. Metal studs and toggle bolts are no fun. Came out looking quite nice though. Finished tile and paint on the place a while back. Thought about doing the kitchen next but thankfully time and money have both run out. The tv mounts go up tomorrow. Everything needs to be done by the end of the month as Julie and the kids need to be able to move in there might need to hire someone to help for the next couple of days.
