Skated Maryhill this weekend at the summer RVOD G-Ride. Only skated the first day due to injuries, but still had a pretty good time. Here is my favorite run: And here is the run that Brent was probably eating a biscuit during, advanced to the relevant portion:3 points

Took a few watches for a spin... Forgive my fur but it doesn't get any better ? The Rolex shop only had the white dial in a 36mm so I tried the only 39mm they had in stock, red grape. The good news was I got to see the white in person...elegant and different from the other white dials from other models. The 39mm felt right for me. Interestingly, the pics make the 36 look better proportionally than it did to me in person. The Omegas were very nice and a lot of fun. They had two of the three '57's on hand...unfortunately the Speedmaster was not in stock. The First Omega in Space (FOIS) Speedmaster was hard to pass on. Not crazy about the strap, but the watch itself has so much going for it IMO. HS2 points

Considerate of the Germans to come up with the word "schadenfreude" to perfectly describe what the rest of the footballing world is feeling right now.1 point

The red grape Rolex does look very nice. Love the sunburst dial. So, which did you leave the shop with?1 point

Interesting read. As Terry Pratchett once observed: “The thing about football — the important thing about football — is that it is not just about football.” https://africasacountry.com/2018/06/ghetto-defendants-race-class-and-the-french-national-team1 point

It's been discussed too many times, the SRM-T1S sounds warmer smoother nicer but the SRM-1 Mk2 is considerably cheaper and sounds closer to your current amp. Either way, it is not a big difference. Of course you can also get an SRD-6 or SRD-7 (not the SB version) and make a 3-way bias leeching cable, plug one part into your existing amp and the other to the adapter to leech the normal bias, job done, no need to buy a separate amp just for that.1 point

Germany were very, very fortunate but will not win the World Cup with that laughable defense. Belgium is my pick on current form. The team is stacked and they finally seem to have both a competent manager and good spirit in the dressing room.1 point

I think both free kick goals were impressive for different reasons and both were taken under high pressure situations. Even amongst the great footballers, not many have the mental strength to take matters in their own hands and score. I've watched it on ITV and the commentators said the placement was excellent for him and he has a very high chance. And after the matched they've looked at it again and observed that he made a little delay, waiting for the goalkeeper to move just slightly off-position, and that was enough not to have a chance of saving. But the tension itself was just as thrilling. Sweden could have easily led 2-0 in the first half, there was a penalty not given as well. Kind of controversial about the video referee applications. On the one hand, it would be more fair if it was more objectively used (better judgement and also less possibility to manipulate the result) but on the other hand, it would be more boring as well, so I'm curious how they are going to evolve further. And the trolling towards Boateng, in the first half they've spoken about his enormous collection of shoes (about 650 pairs), and after the send-off somebody brought it in again and the other guy's response was: "Well, he must be in his slippers now" lol and another one from the Irish in the aftermath as well ?1 point

I think if you increase the grip, it makes the electrons track tighter, and they are less likely to scatter. Hence the tighter bass. Just Saying1 point

Being an eater of cake I came across this delicious cake that they were just going to throw out. Knowing that they were not cheap and could possible make a difference to my system; I snatched them up. Skeptical... but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them out. Well I have to say it was worth the 30 seconds to shove this cake in my mouth. Widening my lips as much as I could, utilizing the bottom half of my jaw bypassing the chewing I heard an improvement right away, not huge but defiantly there. My system seemed to have allot more oomph, Bass is heavier and more pronounced. The whole sound had more weight to it sounding like more tasty cake was getting through. These cakes are about 3x the weight of the standard, why... not sure, haven't dissected.. sign of higher quality icing maybe? Like I said: not a huge improvement but worth the $20-$30. You should give her a try, available at your local bakery1 point
