  1. I know you're old enough to mean you had camels follow you while you rode.
  2. Seems like a lot of great archival footage is surfacing.

I wear a similar gshock to that when riding my dirt bike and when in my can-am. Both activities cause quite a bit of shock and vibration. Very happy with it those applications. Also shooting and a few other things.

Sometimes you have to learn to love something less expensive... I had the same reaction to a Swatch Royal Blue Rebel (SUOS702) while on vacation. I've learned that sometimes you find something (or someone) perfect and you'll regret not acting for the rest of your life. The relationship was consummated immediately. 😍

Yes, last night. It’s nice. Thanks for suggesting. Looked at many, many models last night including some beautiful Sinns and Christopher Wards. Just wished I never saw that cursed Nomos Club Campus neomatik 39 midnight blue.

  11. Might be the fumes talking, but don't try to solder a CFA3 in one sitting.
  12. Just purchased a Stax SRM-1/MK-2 amp, with one side converted to a pro bias out put. Seller say's everything is working ok, just a worn looking case. I hope I like it with my SRX-3 MK III normal bias headphones.
  13. The Lady of the Lake by Andrzej Sapkowski Really great – the final novel in the 5-part series. Oddly, I have a feeling Michael Moorcock would love reading these books... there was talk of a lawsuit years ago re: the Witcher vs. Elric, but I think Moorcock dropped it. Sapkowski uses a variety of literary devices (moving the story out of chronological order, shifting the perspective to different characters, etc.) to excellent effect and he is able to maintain a lot of the humor and charm of the series while the characters pursue their epic quest. There is also a bit of the medieval brutality and eye for detail that you read in George R.R. Martin's books. I'm not sure if Sapkowski had read them in the 90s while he was writing these books in Polish.

  15. @HemiSam makes sense why i enjoy the Burundi so much, earthy and spicy is definitely my jam. couple of Onyx Colombians the past few days... Colombia Jhon David Molina. the apple note on this one is outrageously good, like a red apple baked into a pie. onyx claimed the tartness of this can be too much if you under brew, no issues here. Colombia Inmaculada Gesha. my first time trying a gesha, by far the most expensive beans i have bought. the nose is less sweet and more spice. more sharpness in taste and you really have to let it sit to just above room temp to pull the underlying cocoa. with only 4oz to play with there's not much i can try changing on this... it's good but not as memorable for me as the Molina.

Looks like you are definitely in the exploratory phase which is a good thing. Figure out what you want. The G-Shock above has nothing in common with the pilot style watches presented previously. This thing is uuuuuuuuge, has no numerals on the face, is a chrono...I could go on. That's a big watch so hopefully you've got a wrist that can carry it. The good thing is you can beat on it and it will keep on going. Happy hunting. HS
  17. Hey, you changed your TF2 photo...cool.

  22. That's quite the bike computer you have there, Greg. Seriously though, watch out riding in temps that hot. I've almost cooked myself a few times and once definitely pushed it way too far and overheated pretty badly. Currently not a concern here in the spring will not show up get over it North East, it's 50 and rainy.
  23. Please, please don't but anything that isn't a smart trainer. I hated riding on the trainer until I got my TACX Flow. Not too much more than you're looking to spend ($370) and just so much better an experience and something that I'll likely use it even during the good weather months when time simply doesn't permit riding outdoors. And I should have offered this stuff here I guess, but I've basically got all of the parts stripped off of the Calfee which includes a mostly complete (no chain, no cassette) Dura-Ace 7800 group, S-works carbon cockpit (stem, bars), and some other misc. bits. 24. Last night Claire made this super easy recipe last night and it is great. And easy. And great. Five-Ingredient Creamy Miso Pasta https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020979-five-ingredient-creamy-miso-pasta?smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share Tonight, I made a pork tenderloin stuffed with herbs and capers. A little harder but still pretty great. I also roasted some creamy potatoes. 25. Fringe binge about half way through season 2. I saw some scattered episodes back in the day. I joined amazon prime just to watch this. I hope I can finish during the free 30 days. I don't want to give amazon any money I don't have to.
