  1. Finally poured the slab for the side of our house. After building a retaining wall and back filling. It's 90ft by 12ft, problem with being able to do things is doing them. My new favorite saying "little engine that could, but probably shouldn't.."

  3. Dance Away – Roxy Music I didn't know there was a longer version. The shorter radio edit replaced the original version and this longer cut was hard to find... until now.

  9. Mine were about that old. I had to replace them a few years ago as one of the cats chewed through the cable and they weren't replaceable. Fortunately the new ones do have replaceable cables since those have been chewed through, too.

  11. My ancient ER4S is doing fine, so I'm with Mikey. I'd be more tempted if it was the SR though.

  13. Thanks guys. Chinese BBQ pork is in the smoker, and a lovely chocolate raspberry cheesecake just came out of the oven. Doing it up 2020 style, homemade-at-home! Hope everyone is doing as ok as possible, I know this hasn't been a fun year for anyone. Just been lying low here and waiting for the madness to end.

  17. It's the first time I've watched one of her videos. Normally I ignore product tie-ins, but this one is kind of nice. Online price seems to be around $600, but I'm not sure if these have been officially released yet.

  19. Sorry, Rhonda, Rest In Peace, you beautiful redhead. She may or may not have had something to do with my (now retired) obsession with redheads.

  25. Had a Vodavi phone system at work that one of the station ports didn't work. Normally I wouldn't even bother trying a repair on one of these and just replace the unit, but lacking any working ones on the shelf, I decided to have a go at it... and somehow actually managed to fix it. 😲 Random picture of one off the internet for reference: I had to replace one of those little blue transformers, the thermistor beside it, and some smd components on the back of the board, with ones I salvaged off a different broken unit. It took a few passes to track down everything that was damaged, but now it works as it should. Yay.

  28. Rhonda Fleming, 'Queen of Technicolor', dies aged 97 “Suddenly my green eyes were green. My red hair was flaming red. My skin was porcelain white,” Fleming remarked in a 1990 interview. “There was suddenly all this attention on how I looked rather than the roles I was playing. I’d been painted into a corner by the studios, who never wanted more from me than my looking good and waltzing through a parade of films like The Redhead and the Cowboy.” https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/oct/17/rhonda-fleming-queen-of-technicolor-in-the-1940s-and-50s-dies-aged-97?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
