  1. Anyone happen to know of someone wanting to get rid of a Tom Bihn ID bag for a decent price? I've watched a few on Ebay but haven't pulled the trigger. I think I'm going to try it out at this point though, and just looking to save some money at this point from buying new
  2. yes, that's exactly what I wanted. Thanks!
  3. Is there an easy way (perhaps through the top toolbar, or iTunes) to switch what audio output device is being used (i.e. USB to Audio Output jack)? I realize I can go through system preferences->sound->output but that's rather annoying for something that I want others to be able to do easily.
  4. Yours is about 1G or so
  5. Nice! If you get more info I'd be curious what they are planning.
  6. Made it to Roanoke, VA. Nice time on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
  7. That's what we are here for! Great first post!
  8. Left one of the most difficult work confrontations I've ever had to hop in the car and drive to NJ over the next 7 days to work in Princeton for 3 months with some of the coolest smartest people I have met in my field. Sweet!
  9. what's the voltage you're testing them at? iirc, the datasheet numbers assume 10V. And, in case you are curious... "rebadged" == "fake... avoid"
  10. Um, not for idiots, but the best explanation I've found: http://www.hagtech.com/loading.html
  11. Don't we have an emoticon for that here?
  12. G&G My Father Le Bijou Very impressive
  13. What is known as Zenith? Did I win the Daily Double?
  14. hm, perhaps let the phono stage warm up and try then?
  15. Kevin, if you do model it, I'd be curious about the distortion and it's relative harmonic magnitudes.
  16. i think this is a poor requirement for the pleb-amp, but that's just me.
  17. I'd use a mosfet CCS, like the BHSE uses. If you want to do some R&D, then an opto-coupler biased CCS would be my choice... or, add another tube and do a pentode CCS.
  18. I like Audio Consulting stuff in general. They do know how to make transformers.
  19. Shelly, I've heard the same rumor. However, I have access to a few bottles, and could probably make a deal for you on one. However, in my opinion, I prefer the SpringBank CV.
  20. Ok, I have figured out what I need. Anyone have a recommendation for a flush mount pin socket? Also, called a miniature spring socket? Anyone used these before?
  21. Hard to say really. How will you be using the amps? What will be connected to them exactly?
  22. I figured Dinny would put the $500 towards potential credit card interest and just start the DACes revolving door on its merry way.
  23. Frank, I am curious if you would consider the argument that sources which offer balanced output, even if this output isn't the one used, sound better on average than their single-ended only counterparts?
  24. Recipe? Vegetarian?
