Hey Vicki I was typing as you relied.  Don't feel undeserving in the least.  I know what you mean though as it's something I went through when I made the decision.  I think there are a number of people who go through the same process when going from a factory built bike to something custom.  Especially those of us who "know" that the bikes we have in our stable are perfectly fine.  When you get it and are use to it just try to ride it into the ground and put it away wet.  That's what Dave likes to see from the people who've gotten bikes from him.

Brent, Glad you got out, and are digging it. Hope the drop and all sat well with your back issues.

Vicki, glad Dave is getting off his ass and getting to work on your bike   Looks like it is well thought out, and I hope you really like it when you get it. Nice of him to consider toe overlap on that small of a frame, as that isn't an easy issue to deal with gracefully. And as Parris and all point out, you are not undeserving in the least for something like this.

Re: drop and back issues.  From the original picture, I dropped the seat quite a bit.  I wound up dropping it a bit too far, as I had to raise it up a bit, but that bit I raised it did a lot of good.  I'd love to get a proper fit, but for now, that's not really gonna be in the cards. Maybe one day.  The drop I have going now feels really good.  Initial impressions are 10mm shorter stem, adjust cleats, ride more.  I'm sure the saddle position could be improved, but until I befriend the fit guy and get a crazy deal, I'll have to go by feel.  But right now it feels pretty damn good.

Hey guys.  My friend Troy is selling his FairWheelBikes/Form Cycles NAHBS 2012 bike.  It's big, about a 61cm, but Chris, you need a Ti bike, no?  Take a look, and if you know anyone who may be interested, LMK, and I'll get people in touch.

FYI, this is the guy who built some wheels for Jeff's Niner.

More pix here.

So I got some more pix + a build sheet from Troy.

I don't think it fits anyone here, but it's a pretty detailed build sheet and some nice bike porn, if nothing else.

Chris, if you think you know anyone who'd be interested after getting the specs, LMK.

Outstanding Vicki!

Me: just got back from the usual 17+ mile loop around town.  I pushed harder than was strictly necessary because I was hoping to go out for a much longer ride but life got in the way.  Cranked pretty good for early in the year, about where I was 3 months into last year so it'll be fun to see if I can keep up the miles and get a little stronger this year.

Just got back from my own ride.  Rode out to Leesburg and got in a nice 27 miles.  Stopped for a pic at the ride up BBQ joint right on the W&OD Trail that I am going to take everyone if we ever have a HC Cycling Team meet in my area.

Sorry, it is North.  http://www.carolinabrothers.com

Rode with two groups today for a bit, one mostly of really slow beginners and their coach/teacher of some sort and one really fast one with Parlees, etc.  The fast one was fun.  There was one guy on a Panasonic with the seat slammed all the way down but the guy was fast regardless of the poor fit.

You can put a *lot* of miles on that.

Just got back from 25 slow, but 100% pain free, miles.  I'm basically back to where I was last year at this time, slowest rider on A1A (14-16 mph), but having fun.  It was gorgeous out, and finally not too windy.  I feel good.

Nice ride Vicki and Brent!

Rode some hills in Clermont today. Around 928 feet of elevation gain in 12.88 miles (that's only half the trail). Used up all my energy and all the gears in my compact.

Also just realized I have 262 miles for March and may add more tomorrow :)

Damn Raffy, that's impressive.  I've clocked 120 miles for March and feeling pretty good given the fact that we've had snow multiple times and the average daytime temps are still in the 40s.  My goal for April is 200...
