As a kid who loved the Gong Show and had a mean crush on JP Morgan, I laughed and loved a lot of that show.  The Dancing Machine one big piece of it....RIP Gene.....

Dancing in heaven indeed.  Sadly, he lost both legs to diabetes.  Also, interesting that he was stage hand who was "discovered" dancing alone one day so they just made him part of the shtick.

Yeah, RIP.  As much as that was an earworm, it never bothered me that much, plus, can't deny his talent.

Today died Claudio Cifuentes, more known as "Cifu". He's been carrying on a radio show about jazz on a daily basis at the Spanish Public Radio for 42 years. He also had a jazz TV show for a few years in the late 70s to early 80s. Thanks to this man I learned quite a bit about jazz. An awesome guy, he even replied personally to an email I sent to him. I listened to one of his shows about three weeks ago. He'll be missed. RIP Cifu.

Attended the funeral for Bob Soto today, the man responsible for initiating the sport of recreational diving in the Caribbean.  He will be sorely missed.  The funeral attracted diving luminaries from across the globe.

The church was packed with members of the diving world and WWII veterans, both of whom he served with.
