December 24, 20205 yr RIP Leslie and Stella. Still remember growing up with my brother blasting (among many other songs) Mississippi Queen in his room.....
December 24, 20205 yr Had a chance to see Mountain a few times and they were fantastic live! The last time I saw them they had become a very Hot act on the festival circuit. At that all weekend stadium show, they were the headlining act after Zappa and Traffic! We all rushed the stage and I remember thinking I was standing on the turf that Hank Aaron hit his record home run!
December 24, 20205 yr I wish I had seen them. It's a shame that Mountain's manager refused to allow them to be in the movie or on the soundtrack because I think they would have been bigger and longer lasting if they had.
December 27, 20205 yr RIP Tony! Another one of the guitar gods has fallen! He was something of an audiophile too. There's gonna be a lot of Tony Rice Youtube activity going on!
