March 13, 20188 yr I watched the entire Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy miniseries from 1979 (Sir Alec Guinness)...Good stuff, makes me miss shows like Rubicon, but I totally didn't catch Sir Patrick Stewart...Might hafta start over:)... Then the Worricker Trillogy...Rekindled my love affair with Winona Ryder...She's so...squirrelly(?) & creepy in it, but <3 <3 <3...
March 13, 20188 yr Editing because it turns out Stewart lost his hair at age 19, but used to wear toupees in many acting roles (pre Star Trek) - which he might well have done in TTSS. Edited March 13, 20188 yr by Craig Sawyers

March 14, 20188 yr Altered Carbon. It's better than I would have thought it would be, but I think they made some mistakes with the backstory changes.

I agree with your latter point, Jacob. I've been listening to the audiobook in parallel and overall it makes more sense and is simply better. That said, I've been enjoying the heck out of the show too.
March 17, 20188 yr Finished Jessica Jones. Holy shit, best season of the whole franchise. For me, it just took off with episode 8 and didn't stop until the season was done. What a fucking ride. Fucking dark, too. This is not a feel-good...well, anything. I do want to try Tin Cup now, though. And can I just say? There was some damn fine acting. Trinity plays a damn fine lecherous lesbian.

March 17, 20188 yr I also finished Jessica Jones this week. Enjoyed it immensely! Definitely dark. It's hard to imagine anyone other than Krysten Ritter in the part. She has it nailed. Very interesting what they did with Carrie-Anne Moss' character. Me
March 17, 20188 yr Binged "JJ" season 2 this past week as well. I love Ritter as the titular character & can't imagine anyone else playing her. The season itself is about 2.5 eps too long imo, as with all the other Netflix/Marvel series'. But still

The story changes don't irritate me too much, given that it's been a LONG time since I read the books (when they were new).

Olyphant & Barrymore are perfect, as are all the supporting cast. Using the "zombie-ism" as a metaphor for the main couple dealing with mid-life changes & acceptance is brilliant.

Yeah, need to start season 2, thanks for the...not reminder, since I remember, but...perhaps “prompt”.

We were pretty amazed. Will be binging more soon. Too lazy to scan back, but did anyone else love Happy on SyFy?
April 8, 20188 yr You Were Never Really Here. What the fucking fuck? Fuck!Just IMDB'd it, wow Joaquin Phoenix in a head trip of a plot. Looks pretty freakin' good if the director did a good job with it. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk

April 12, 20188 yr Into the Badlands -- martial arts of the completely unrealistic school, lots of wirework, swordplay, post-post-apocalyptic society, barren and windswept wastelands, a 5 ring Chinese broadsword, Nick Frost, plenty of hot chicks and gruesome violent deaths, what more could a boy want?
