I read awhile ago that the second was the last, as they used all of their songs up in the first and had a hard time coming up with enough for the second. It's on my list of movies that I find really entertaining that got poor to mediocre reviews. Other movies on this list are Dogma and Ground Hog Day. The plot is utterly ridiculous, but the production design is great and the acting (apart from the two lead roles ) is tremendous in a look-at-me-I'm-slumming-and-loving-it way.
