What did you do today?

Ran 30 minutes. Took a cold shower. Going to get my head buzzed. Feeling ascetic.

I noticed that after I got home and saw the pic. It does look like that but I thougt it might be some dirt. I was carrying the phone in my running shorts and would take it out every so often and take a shot. It was sunrise, by the way.:)

Not "did" since I'm still doing it, but cleaning up the mini-flood I discovered couple of hours ago in the basement thanks to Hanna. >:(

Talking about damage control, we had a birthday party for our son, 10 kids sure can make a lot of noise. Luckily it didn't rain so we could send them outside for awhile.

went "apple picking" (took a bite of an apple then threw it away), played wii fit, did some homework and reading

Today I was up and on the road at 6 headed some 100 miles North to volunteer at a friend's fund raiser. The group that he and his wife work for helps disabled people find ways to participate in sports activities. My limited role was to chase them around on the third day of their ride and hopefully take a couple of half-decent photographs. The 3-day even takes them through NH's north country passing through two notches (Franconia and Crawford) and over the Kancamagus Highway. The vertical climb on just this day's ride is some 2300 feet in just over 18 miles, with the the final climb a brutal 6 mile 7% grade. Anyway, it was great fun and I don't think I totally let them down in the photog department. I've got a lot of post to do on these, it was a hugely dynamic day with stuff constantly passing in and out of shadows and clouds and being out of practice shooting dynamic stuff was obvious Mostly I just tried to have the subject properly exposed hoping that I could deal with the environment in post. Anyway, a few samples for the curious.

Sounds like you were more productive than us Nate. Cool photos! I didn't realize Hanna was that far north.

I ran 3 miles this morning and watched football all day.

Went to store, bought romaine, fixed salad, ate lunch with GF, laid around, went and hung out with my parents, bought new work shoes, bought halloween costume, went home, did accounting homework, ate dinner, watched a couple episodes of House, spun vinyl.

Just got done doing a Baerwald alignment on my turntable cartridge.

Wow, the Technics cart positioning guidleline is 3mm off compared to Baerwald.

Twenty three hundred feet of climbing in one day is pretty respectable and doing it on a recumbent or with knobby tires is commendable. Nice shooting Nate keeping everyone in frame unless of course those shots were done at the top of the seven percenter. In that case they were probably only going three mph. :P

I bought a new strap for my watch yesterday.

I bought a new strap for my watch yesterday.

You are hereby fined 2 points for comprehension:

1) the activity listed did not occur today.

2) the post better fits the "Last Thing You Bought" theme.

Thank you, try again. :P

Woke up with a filthy hangover. Drank some soda water, went back to bed.

Got up again 20 minutes ago. Still hungover. No soda water left. At least my hands aren't shaking now. Going to go pick up my new Quads later.
