I had to replace them a few years ago as one of the cats chewed through the cable and they weren't replaceable. Fortunately the new ones do have replaceable cables since those have been chewed through, too.

October 25, 20205 yr So my Etymotic ER4XR IEM's arrived today. Listening now and they sound great. Glad I went with the XR edition. Best bass I've heard out of Etymotics, but not at all bloated. Still a bit bass shy IMO, but much better than the S or P versions. The aluminum housings also just give a more quality feel. Great bargain!
