My girlfriend can't do Phish or the Grateful Dead. She'll tolerate a little Widespread Panic, since they are more of a blues/rock band then a jamband, but she thinks Phish is "just horrible, horrible noise". Sometimes I'm listening to an extended jam and I realize I can't argue with her. But its horrible, horrible noise I love.

Fortunately we both enjoy metal, alt-country, and classical together.
