Waiting in line to vote. Huge line for the Democratic primary and no line at all for the Republican primary. That makes me happy (except for the fact that I have to wait in line).

I bet the other side of town is the reverse :)

I got in to our High School right when voting opened, still a decent backlog (they delayed school one hour, good plan).  Got through quickly though.

At the local level, we had voting on 2 single positions and one with a list of names for a group: one of the single positions had NO candidate on the ballot, the other only one.  If you wanted to vote for the first, you would have to write-in.  I'd hate to have to count that one.....

Went out to vote in the Presidential Primary.  My town decided, in its infinite wisdom, 80% of the town will vote in the same location this year - the middle school.  Which is located on one of the busiest roads in town with no turning lane into the school.  While the school is in session.

I did my first ever wire transfer today at the bank.

that process has me believing in Bitcoin again.

I thought you are not supposed to do wire transfers when laundering money.

Who said anything about money? He's transferring wire, can't you read? :P

You do realize that those Nigerian Oil Minister partnerships do not work very well.

I have seven of them and they keep sending my dividend checks to the wrong address.

Some drunk guy came up and put his arm around me tonight... he doesn't know how close he came to getting kicked in the nuts (and I was wearing Docs).

Cheers to that.  As an additional selling point, you can point out to them that they don't need to pay anyone to manage you.

And he works for Bitcoin too.

Found out that I owe an extra $1550 in 2015 property taxes. :(  I also only found it out because I went to download the receipt for the amount I had paid online.  At least I found out before owing a bunch of interest and before filing my federal income taxes.

I looked at the previous years and this year was 1.5 times the amount we paid 3 years ago.  Can't really complain since we don't have state income tax.

Dr. Reks sounds like a comic book villain if you say it quickly.

:)

Good luck with the application!

Good luck Jacob, and nice story about you possibly mentoring.  So nice to see a good situation come from a bad one!

Tried and still trying to pack seven suitcases worth of fencing gear wine and clothes into three suitcases.
