I desperately need a good desk lamp. Using the computer as a light source just isn't a great idea for many reason. I noticed that Softech DL-90 has really good reviews on amazon and I like the idea of using LEDs and having a natural-like light source. I was wondering if anyone has used a similar type of light or has any alternatives?

Post #200! I haven't had much time to check in here lately, so I didn't spot my birthday thread until today. It birthday went well, almost as well as my wedding, May 10th!!! A brief summary: The weather was perfect, not a single cloud in the sky and hardly any wind. The minister (who happens to be my father-in-law) held a touching ceremony. Our hired photographers did an outstanding job (it seemed, haven't seen the processed pictures yet). The reception went well. I am flying down to Montgomery, AL tomorrow to drive my grandparents up to Boston (well technically, Reading) MA, and will be staying there for a few days before heading home. The main point of this trip is to get my grandparents to my Uncle and new Aunt's house, and to see my new (about two week old) cousin, but there will definitely be some time to see other things in the area. Only been to Boston once before for a few days, so any suggestions are appreciated.

I am considering getting rid of all cable/sattelite TV service (currently DirecTV) and going with the combination of Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, and online sports subscriptions. I have neighbors doing this and they've liked it, while saving a ton of money. For what I pay for DTV, and how little we watch TV, it's hardly worth it. As it is, we currently watch mostly Netflix and Amazon anyway. For sports, I'm watching mostly on iPad, because my kids are on the TV, and I've found this to be fine, sometimes preferable, since I don't have to scroll through 600+ channels to find the game I want. Plus I can watch it on my lap while I passively watch whatever the …

Have you ever wanted to go up to some person and ask him a totally random question just to see how he'd react? I admit that I sometimes want to do that at my Customs job, after asking the standard "where you been, got anything to declare?" stuff I feel like saying something really random and weird just for the hell of it. Questions like "what's the flaccid to errect size ratio of your penis?" or "did you know that an iPod will fit up your vagina?" So what are the random questions you feel like asking people?
