Wild and Crazy Go Nuts!

  1. Started by Voltron,

Matt the Younger is another year older! Enjoy the new Transporter if my understanding/assumption is correct. I quaff my last bit of Racer 5 in your honor, and will try to work a Pliny into the day tomorrow somehow. Wish you were going to be here for the music festival this weekend. Should be epic. Cheers! Oh yeah, and don't get all excited and go parasailing in a hurricane or even a tropical storm.

  2. Started by guzziguy,

Here's hoping that hurricane Fay doesn't hit SoFla (or anywhere else for that matter) too hard. Good luck guys!

I was just thinking about some of the clothing fads in my younger days. One of the earliest fads I remember in middle school was Starter. They made work out or athletic clothing along the lines of Reebok, etc. I remember getting a Saskatchewan Roughriders Starter winter jacket one Christmas that was the coolest thing for a while. Later on a Red Wings Starter t-shirt that has the design to look like a movie poster, the movie being called "Wings of Fire" with the players names listed in the small print in the credits. I still have that shirt and love it. Another was Guess. Guess jeans, shirts, watches were pretty popular as well in my school around '96. And No Fear. …

I'll go first: Pamprin is probably the greatest product since Kotex, far better than Midol!! And the greatest function and feature on the internet is the "search" function; find whatever you are looking for without bothering anyone!!

May I please? First off let me ask if my screen name offends anyone? Since ganja is such a touchy subject:D Here's the story, If anyone gives a rats butt? I joined up over at that Nazi ran site that has Fi in the name. I'm sure you know the spot. So after being a member since the end of 07 and made many useful posts, a few hundred at least. I get a pm from this prick named Mike ( Lets call him the stalker) more on that in a few. He says my name violates the forum rules because of drug references in my screen name. He also goes on to say my sig and Avatar is in violation. My sig was my feedback??? And my Pic was Shintaro Katsu ( Japanese Movie Actor) Best kno…

Georgian breakaway city in ruins - CNN.com Please check pic #2. I don't know how long they will keep this series up. I tried to find the picture in a non-flash environment, but could not. So I could not post it by itself. I usually stay away from commenting on war(s), politics, religion, etc. BUT, I could not take it. This is just fucked up. It made me really sad. This could very well be me my mother...

I'm going to build a new PC to replace my crumbling AthlonXP system, I've sorted out almost everything I'm going to go for, but I'm still having some indecision over the OS drive. Either the OCZ Core 64Gig SSD, or the Western Digital Velociraptor. I had the 74gig raptor in my primary Athlon XP system before it went unreliable and I was forced onto this crappy shuttle. The Raptor74 is so very crunchy noisy these days, I really don't want the Velociraptor to end up being that way, in spite of the claims that it is quieter than the previous raptors, and of course the SSD is silent. The rest of the PC is going to be as quiet as I can realistically achieve on an LGA775 plat…

Well it's been a tough week already so I decided to go out in my back yard, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset with my new best friend. He is not much on conversation but in his own way he has some entertaining anecdotes on life.

I have about 5 GB I want to download off Rapidshare. All broken up into 100 mb file sizes. Given the 50 kb/s restriction and only one download at a time with the free account this is going to take ages. Does anyone know the current download limit for the premium account? June 26 their FAQ said 10 GB per day, but I want to make sure that's right since a download limit isn't even mentioned on their comparison page (comparing free and premium perks). Just want to be sure before I get the three day trial, hope my CC doesn't charge me extra for USD -> EU conversion \

Hey guys, I usually try not to get too personal on forums but I figured here would be the best place to post anything because I do have a ton of respect for the members on this forum. I just wanted to say that after a year of dating my gf I was recently given the boot for the following reason: "people change and I don't think its going to work out." I sort of saw this coming months ahead of time but wanted to say that I have a better understanding for what others on the forum have gone through or are going through when relationships end badly [i hope I am not out of context but..Philodox and Edipisreks come to mind] and that you can welcome me to the club! I guess what…

  23. This really confuses me. When inane posts (perceived differently by any given reader) are cleaned up and mods step in to control the quality of posts, or kick out idiots (again, alledged differently by each reader) we are called the Nazi Police, or are blamed for "over-moderation". Everyone needs different things from a forum and sometimes, no matter what direction moderation goes in, it can be considered poor management by anyone at any given time. Moderators can only try to do what they think are right and aren't going to please everyone, all of the time. And consistency, can be tough. Hell, even our government and major corporations that have been around 50+ years, sti…

For another sign of technological and cultural changes, the first signs of todays LA quake seemed to start with Twitter posts and then spread to traditional media. Here is an example.

  25. Clearly everyone in this forum shares a passion for quality audio reproduction. Regardless of location, financial situation, age, gender, or any other differences we may have, we are united in this passion. My question for all of you is: How and when did you first realize that you wanted more from your audio system? And what did you do about it? I'll start with my story. When I was 15 years old (I think) I asked for a pair of noise canceling headphones for Christmas. I received them from my cousins, a pair of $50 Targus noise cancelling headphones. I loved them! In retrospect they were crap, but I was ecstatic about them. I used them for a while, and then one d…
