Hey everybody, I'm looking for an invite to Pedro's BTmusic tracker, which has a great amount of music, I think mostly in lossless; a friend told me that it was maybe one of the best trackers for music... I had an account on Oink but since it's dead I can't really find rare music in good quality. I'm a music addict, and I really want to join that BTmusic... so could anyone invite me on that tracker? Thanks, Tim PS: I'm french, so sorry if you don't understand anything...!

So, I have tickets to see jazz legend and really old guy Charles Lloyd tomorrow night. He is playing with Jason Moran, Eric Harland and Reuben Rogers, a killer quartet. He is not and all-time favorite of mine, but he is great and, as mentioned, really old. I have seen several jazz greats shortly before their deaths and I try to see the old guys when they are around for this reason in addition to their music. The dilemma arose today because a buddy just sold his guitar to a guy who works on the Ray Davies tour. He offered him tickets and possibly back-stage passes for the Ray Davies show tomorrow night. Because my buddy cannot go, the guy said I could take the tickets. …

Seems like some bright spark decided it would be a great idea to move all the sponsor panels and other shite to the left of the pages instead of the right. Now I have to scroll over for every page I look at because you can't collapse them. Fucking place was bad enough before. I give up.

I've decided after reading the "i guess i listen really loud" thread that I'd temporarily donate my sound level meter to who ever wants to use it. That way anyone that wants to determine safe listening levels can do just that. You won't have to worry any more if you're destroying your hearing. Here is what I propose. I'll ship it to the the first person that wants it. After they're done they'll ship it to the next person on the list, so on and so forth until it gets shipped back to me in the end. This is presuming that anybody is interested.

So, on the day that my damaged transport is picked up (yesterday) I find out that UPS has decided to play kick-ball with the beta22 that I shipped out last week. Now today I hear back about the damage claim to the transport, which of course they denied sighting "insufficient packaging" and "no damage to packaging". Oh, sweet. I guess that custom cut 2" thick foam inserts and double boxing are now deemed insufficient packaging in their mind. And the entire corner of the box crushed 1" (through both boxes) qualifies as "no damage". I hope the guy who sold this to me is a good lawyer... Now, onto the beta22 that I had professional packed. Evidently they managed to treat t…

Its my junior year of college and I've been thinking of either grad school for biomedical engineering (which is what my major is right now) or medical school. In terms of requirements, I'm pretty set in either direction, but I need to study for the MCATs if I decide to apply for med school. I'm pretty set for GREs. I'm not fantastic in bio but I'm decent enough to scrounge a B+ in it So if youve been to med school (ojnihs, deepak) and can give me some advice, or if you know any awesome doctor jokes, please post them

Just curious? I ran across a pair I had from 6th grade in some old boxes at my parents house.. still wondering why they went out of style. Also got to ponder why there are so many zippers, yet so few pockets. Beat Street II, Electric Boogaloo - saw it in the theaters.

Ok, so I think I've found my new apartment [will know for sure on tuesday], and I've been thinking over what I want to do with regards to my home theatre. Here is what I am considering: 1. Get a LCD or Plasma or whatever [flat screen, at least 40" WS and wall mountable] that has wicked upsampling and lots of inputs. Make sure that my DVD player either has no upsampling or that it is defeatable. 2. Get a LCD or Plasma or whatever [flat screen, at least 40" WS and wall mountable] that has no upsampling or defeatable upsampling and only requires one DVI input. Make sure that my DVD player either has no upsampling or that it is defeatable. Purchase one of these: http://…

Unfortunately, it was people with attitudes like that which got us the idiot we've had now for 7 years. Don't misunderstand, I know what you are saying but at least there are two candidates that will do things a bit differently than they've been done for the last 7 years. Again, not perfect but certainly an improvement. Sorry, I didn't mean to jump on you like that but I hate when I hear people talk like this because if something doesn't change, things will be even worse than they are now, especially if a Republican gets to appoint more Justices to the Supreme Court.

So while lying on my bed, I hear a mention of "musicdirec.com" from a TV. I turn around and there it is - musicdirect.com/American Express ad. I think it was the first time I've ever heard the word "audiophile" mentioned in a TV ad. Anyone else catch this?
