For the past 5 years I've been using an ISP who provides DSL service. Connection and performance has always been spotty, but tolerable. Lately it has become intolerable. Last night I was able to connect, would get part way through a post and then the connection would be lost for the next several minutes to couple of hours. After 5 years they finally sent a tech out to check the box & their connection. Tech sez everything is fine at their end. Problem apparently lies with the phone line wiring in my home. It's hard to find gifts for my dad--he's the kind of guy who kind of has everything. But today he was telling me how much he liked Superman comics when he was a kid. He wanted to know if the comic was still published. I know nothing about comics. Nothing. But I was thinking about putting together a little package of superman comics for him for Christmas. Not collector's item type stuff, just maybe a few cool things. It's the kind of thing he would never get for himself. There is a beep coming from somewhere in my house that I can't pinpoint. It's 3 beeps about 1/2 a second apart with one silent beat between them. It's high pitched like a fire detector but with beeps and not a solid tone. It's been going on since I got home form work today and I"m going to kill myself if I can't find it soon. I can't enjoy my beloved hd650's with this donkey fucking beep boring a hole in my brain. There's never been a worse time to be an obsessive compulsive than right now.
