Anyone else like this show? I thought the 1st season was pretty fun, and Tricia Helfer is apparently in a few episodes this season.

Anyone else try this? I have been playing with this feature for the last 2.5 months or so. I love it! I think it's the baby steps of the things to come. As of now availability of current features is limited, so if you are into the latest releases, this is not for you. If you like older movies and shows then this will provide quite a bit of entertainment. Some recent movies are available, specially art and foreign. As to the resolution, I don't think it's quite at the DVD level, but not too far behind. So it may not be for everyone. As of now the way it works is that you get as many hours of instant watching as $ you pay for your plan. Right now i've been burning …

The hype on this is that it is the best "30 for 30" ESPN has ever done. The first episode was sensational. I can't wait to see more.

Okay, the same weekend GoT finishes, the second and last season of Fleabag hits Amazon Prime (it’s already aired in Britain). Can we now call it the best thing on TV? Know there are other fans here, including Stretch, and suspect there would be many more given the chance.

I somehow doubt it's going to be off the island, if it is the show loses a lot of the mystery it had going.

I happened upon Letterkenny about a year ago and it's been great. Anyone have any recommendations for other good sitcoms? Not necessarily in the same vein. Other stuff I have seen and like: Seinfeld, first few seasons of That '70s show, The Office (US) before Michael Scott left, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development (not including the Netflix season). Sitcoms I hate: Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men, anything with a horrendously fake laugh track

A co-worker mentioned that he had just started watching a new series on Showtime "Shameless" starring William H. Macy. This is a US adaptation of a long running UK Series. How many are watching this saga? I think there are some excellent casting choices, great acting, great screenplay and fantastic sets. I love that they chose to go easy on the makeup, and let people sweat as well, it certainly adds to the realism. Any comments?

Top Chef is back! Anyone else watch this show? I'm a bit of a foodie and like it because they actually have real/legitimate chefs on the show. The first challenge was very appropriate given the setting and I thought the first elimination challenge was very revealing.

Anyone else digging on this? I am NOT a fan of all the other Stagate incarnations but I am really liking this one. Robert Carlyle is pretty good in it.

This is actually pretty good. The premise is that a wiseguy turns informant, then goes into protective custody, where he picks Lillihammer as his new home, because he thought it was beautiful on TV, during the 94' Olympics. Steven Van Zandt stars and is one of the executive producers.

Anyone else watching this HBO mini-series? Was nervous with Simon and Haggis working together, but it's turned out pretty well so far.

Anyone else excited? "The Knick" stars Clive Owen as Dr. John Thackery, an ambitious surgeon who leads the staff at the Knickerbocker Hospital in New York in the early 1900s. http://youtu.be/r_xvw-_YJSo

In the same vein as the Movie and Music Lyric threads. Series: Red Dwarf Episode: Stasis leak Rimmer: Now kindly cluck off, before I extract your gibblets, and shove a large seasoned onion between the lips you never kiss with. One of my favourite tv shows for dialogue, peruse these to see what I mean. http://www.freewebs.com/reddwarfquotes/main.htm http://www.theninemuses.net/quotes/reddwarf.html

Who likes 'em? Lena Dunham pretty much just rejiggered Tiny Furniture with a little Apatow assist, but probably the most interesting HBO series pilot I've seen in a bit. On YouTube and DailyMotion if you don't have HBO.

This one looks fairly promising. Enough violence and T&A to keep the drama from getting too thick.

Anyone watch the pilot? On the plus side someone is finally using Jennifer Beals and the rest of the cast are interesting choices (and faces). On the negative it's from the creator of The Shield (characters are consistently constipated here too) and every fifth word of the script was 'Chicago' ('That's the Cha-cog-oh way!', 'And that's how we do things in Cha-cog-oh!', etc.). Strange mix between Scorsese-lite action and horrible TV dialogue.
