No, no ebay for me and you're free to buy whereever you want. i'm not offended at all if i didn't want people to make them, I wouldn't have released it under CC-by-SA license. Open source is just something I appreciate and promote and I much prefer people who respect it . that's it4 points

I totally agree. The only thing that reminds me that Avast is installed is once a month or so I get a notification that an update has been installed. For all I know, nothing is being installed as I blissfully go on about my way. That's the way I like it!1 point

I use the pay AVG suite across all my computers and it most certainly does not stay out of the way. Constant pop ups to make the computer faster or more secure and other add on bullshit. I have not found the shut up and fuck off button yet on the software, but I will keep looking.1 point

I use Sophos anti-virus on my Macs that I need to have full privileges on the university network. It works well for me since it pretty much stays the fuck out of my way. That is my definition of both a good antivirus program and a good administrator.1 point

I checked with Kevin and in this position it only runs at 300V so KSA1156 should work. STN9360 should work too but will need to be mounted vertically and observe the pinout difference.1 point

Try posting about wine. The software has developed a red wine and Champagne bias I am told.1 point

I didn't mean to be an asshole. Which is saying something, for me. I would suggest putting some up on eBay. I only bought from where I did because of my eBay coupon.1 point

This circuit is universal it has a bidirectional 100v Zener Diode on the input that limits the voltage to 100v for the multiplier so it can work worldwide. It's basically Stax's SRD-7 Pro circuit, with a couple of components reorganized to fix their mistake of putting R103 and R104 before C107 and C108 instead of after. Z101 can be substituted with 2 back to back unidirectional 100v zener diodes if a bidirectional one can't be found. I've used a pair of 1N527 for this. Also you can sub 1N4007 diodes for D101-D106.1 point

I might do a version of this circuit with SS CCS just to make it a lot less complicated.1 point

I finished the 2nd Witcher 3 DLC this weekend. I'm just gonna come out and say it. Now that I've played through the complete experience The Witcher 3 is now my favorite game of all time. It is finally time to knock Deus Ex off that pedestal and in to the #2 spot. Witcher 3 has everything I look for in a game. Amazing, "adult" storylines. Phenomenal characters. One of the best looking games on PC, a technical masterpiece. Fun gameplay. The amazing thing is RPGs and games with Fantasy themes usually aren't my type of thing at all. It is a testament to how good W3 is that it is my favorite game regardless. The two DLCs are "must play" if you've enjoyed the base game. 5/5. Duh. -- Also finished off DOOM. What a fun little game. Executing hell-demons to heavy metal puts a smile on my face every time. It looks and runs great on PC. Kudos, ID, for doing such a good job rebooting it. DOOM was the kind of game Steam Sales are made for. I've spend about 11 hours with it and now I'm done. I have zero desire to try its multiplayer, and I'll probably never go back through the campaign again, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my time with it. I very much did. It sure is fun to see these old classics rebooted. I would say the Wolfenstein reboot had the better story but Doom runs better and has the better gameplay of the two. 4/5. Get it on sale and let that chainsaw rip.1 point
