I still love the HODINKEE blue shell strap on my Pre-Moon. The period 16mm buckle is what completes it, and it really sets off the deep scratch Dunhill gave me in February. And I'm aware that the hour register isn't resetting correctly anymore. This watch will need a service next year, probably. I'm not looking forward to it. Good thing I have a new Speedy.

Heh, thanks for all the birthday wishes, guys. Started the day off working til 9 am, took a Nyquil-enhanced nap, got woken up and hung out with fam and the pupperz, ate some pizza, got another nap, and now back at work. Stayed away from thorn bushes/bikes/things with wheels. As tradition, due to crazy/busy schedules, we'll probably go out for "birthday dinner" in about 2 months I think I'll have to order some CAKE.

Traffic on the Hillary Step yesterday.

Tilt was wild.....his voice was pretty amazing as well. Wasn't he supposed to be kind of a "crooner" type early on? I think he was being groomed to be one of those easy-listening/ballad type singers. I'd say he "somewhat" veered from that path.

I'm gonna officially start my midlife crisis this weekend if it doesn't sell before then. I'm gonna go look at a '91 harley FXR saturday.

I have yet to drop one. Although my daughters have grabbed my DSSD, which I sold, and dropped that from about 4ft on to tile. Honestly in that equation I feared more for my tile, which luckily didn't crack or chip. I lift a lot of weight compared to most, there is no way I could have a watch on my wrist. It would restrict range of motion on my wrist and often get bumped by dumb bells and other things. I while I do not wear my watch not tight(I have it properly fitted) but when my forearms get a pump having it on would be painful even if the other problems were not there I run out of on the fly extension when I travel to humid locations.

I left my first ever nice watch -- a Rolex Datejust -- in an open locker at the Washington DC YMCA overnight before I realized I'd lost it. I fucking sprinted back down there from my apartment the next morning and it was a GOOD feeling opening that little door and finding it still inside!

Naturally, the VOM’s overvoltage protection kicks in and an “infinite resistance” is displayed. Just as intended? You don’t need to be Penn and Teller to spot that slight of hand.

The srm-001 is an opamp driving a fet that drives a transistor (cascode) into a load resistor and is cap coupled to the output. (cascode differential) The jade2 is an opamp driving a transistor that drives a mosfet (cascode) into a load resistor and is cap coupled to the output. The calculation of output capacitance is flat out wrong as the middle of the cascode is AC ground. (cascode differential) Just about identical. Obviously the jade2 consumes a bunch more power and puts out a bunch more power. I own 2 hifiman products. Both are built like shit. I'm unlikely to buy hifiman products ever again.

Other than laughing at his badly made crap for years, nope. I was the first one to take the original Jade apart and reveal the crap it was but that hardly counts as it was over a decade ago. Funny enough, the cable used on the original Jade is superior to the one they use now, gotta love "progress".

Finally got the Arai, drop shipped from Arai USA. The Japanese sure make things finicky, but the contraptions are quite cool. I think the AGV Sportmodular will be the BMW helmet, the Arai will be for whatever naked bike I end up with and the SCHUBERTH C4 will be the loaner helmet.
