  3. Thanks for granting permission? You think you have conditions to the suggestion that you should go elsewhere? Your "if you are a man" bullshit is tiresome. If you think we're interested in your 1,000+ word missives about what you think, what you won't stand behind, what you will, etc., etc., ad nauseum, you are mistaken. No one asked you to join here or told we don't have a ToS because we don't need one.

  7. It's obvious you don't know English, that was a joke too. It's obvious too that you don't know how to express coherent thoughts. Not even having clever ones.

  8. You're way to verbose to fit in this community. You know English, short phrases, lots of stops, one idea at a time.

  9. start with a megatron and change the 8 output tubes to 4cx250 then use +/- 3000v power supplies far more fun. and just a slight bit more dangerous.

  15. I did manage to finish the first “project” on the magic side table. Did the key tray with 1/4” downcut windmill followed by the bowl bit to round the bottom. The large one was done with the 3/4” bowl bit and came out much better.

  24. Thank you mwl168 for the opportunity to get the mini T2 boards. the package from mwl168 arrived on february 22nd, and on the 24th my country was attacked by the enemy. and everything went into the background, the country was fighting for survival. thanks very much to many countries, especially the USA, very much helped and helped. now there is already hope that my country will survive, and i hope that i can solder a mini T2 and listen to the potential of this version. 25. Some folks aren't understanding the difference between something being publicly accessible but still not "a public space." This is a MODERATED forum. Over the years it has established itself to have a certain personality, for lack of a better term; and it is moderated to fit that personality. Yes, it can be exclusionary, but only to people who argue excessively about the personality and try to change it. Otherwise, we want it to be open. When someone is banned, it's not us being cowards, it's reducing excess noise from someone who doesn't respect what this forum is about. There are a good number of very technically-inclined and experienced people here. They freely give advice to those who ask, some design their own equipment, and overall have earned the respect they get. I have seen countless cases of people posting pictures and getting some great advice about what is good and bad about a design. As a group, we DO listen to a lot of music. There are dedicated threads for this, but there are also many threads for other things as well; we're quite an eclectic bunch. When it comes to equipment, though, we're not going to ONLY judge based on sound. As I mentioned before, sound is on par with build quality in this forum, and even if something sounds good but has potential build issues, it will get called out. That is part of the personality of this forum. I will read and respect someone's thought on sound, but will also read and respect good technical input, brash or not. If something is built well and sounds good, it gets praised. Otherwise, it's open season for criticism (based on sound or build). Again....this is the personality of this forum. Accept it, join and try to have fun. Or leave. But if you keep fighting it, you will be banned - to reduce the noise.

  26. I'm unsure we have the technology to stop his hypersonic missiles or even to reply to them. The only thing that could stop him is the own russian people, and they're being misinformed and repressed. Meanwhile BJ delights us with his clever insight of matters that are well beyond his reach. Now he feels very European

  28. I keep thinking of the often repeated phrase failure of imagination to predict the 9/11 attacks. Failure of imagination to predict the Trump and Brexit votes. Failure of imagination to predict and prepare for a global pandemic. Failure of imagination to predict the storming of the US Capitol. Even failure of the imagination that Putin would actually invade Ukraine. We’re an optimistic people. That may be an issue.

  29. We’re launching a new company – Eksonic – along with our new amplifier called Aeras. Launching an audio company is something I’ve had in the back of my head for many years and I’m proud to be able to bring a passion to market. I've been building my own version of the DIY T2 for quite some time now and have long hoped to capture the spirit of the beast in a smaller single chassis design that's more accessible to many. We think we've accomplished that with the Aeras. Aeras is the result of endless hours of circuit design and analysis, brainstorming and many iterations of prototyping and testing. Our initial users have had great things to say about this new amp. We’re going to be launching the company formally at the NYC CanJam later this month. We’ll bring our DIY T2 along with the Aeras so people can hear them side by side. I hope to see some of you at the launch

  31. I took these two fellows.. …on a ride to big brother who has his own original Kevin DIY T2 PSU (reduced voltages - everything else as original). With this PSU both mini T2 are silent - no annoying hum. Here they are all together.

  32. Thanks folks. Aerial picture of old and new “mini T2”. The new just got a top plate, looks rather nice when newly polished. Small holes in front of small tubes are for trimmers. I drilled two 6.5mm holes in the old to plate (between big tubes) for the balance servo jumpers. Made this jumper with a piece of cable and heat shrink.
