January 19, 200917 yr Decided to make some new speaker cables, but since the biggest wire I had in any quantity was 20 gauge I had to braid a metric arseload of wire: Crimony! How long did that take you?? Braiding those 1ft RCAs above took me about 1/2 an hour... your run must've taken a day!
January 19, 200917 yr I'll bet he has one of those little girl battery powered hair braiding toys... Oh no the secret is out You are one really funny guy sir.
January 19, 200917 yr Crimony! How long did that take you?? Braiding those 1ft RCAs above took me about 1/2 an hour... your run must've taken a day! For the braiding part, about 5-10 minutes per 7 foot cable, of which there were 8. I used some kapton insulated wire for this because of how fast it can be braided versus PVC or teflon.

January 19, 200917 yr I'll bet he has one of those little girl battery powered hair braiding toys... still wondering if this would actually work, LOL???
January 19, 200917 yr Only if you want twisted instead of braided yeah, I saw that after I did a quick search for them. Hehe. Silly me, I was actually thinking about getting one.
January 19, 200917 yr A go over with the polishing cloth can help bring out the shine in those highs you know. Except now I have images of crusty bowls of abandoned noodles and a heap of socks turning to compost. Ok so I cleaned up the stand all nice and shiny like, and I didn't get any improvement in the highs at all. What a gyp. Very nice Fitz! Thanks Steve!
March 7, 200917 yr A 1 meter pair of RCA interconnects built with 28ga Neotech UP-OCC copper on cotton rope, similar to the ChrisVH silver recipe. Yarbo RCAs.
March 7, 200917 yr Damn those are pretty! That is actually black nylon techflex... must be the flash picking up the white teflon tape underneath it. I'm no photographer, that's for sure But thanks!
