May 17, 20197 yr I’ve retested and I got about the same results. Also tested a pair of SR-007 mk2 and then I got graphs more like your Orpheus Clone and 007mk1. I’m very satisfied with the bass, well not as good as 009S but good for my DIY headphone. I’ve tried different diaphragms and some of them are terrible, but I actually manage to do some better. Another thing is that my home made phones are not as sensitive as Stax and the diaphragms need time to charge. They start soft and after half an hour or so the sound reach it’s max. Here is how I stretch the Mylar film. 12 inch inner tube and Scotch Magic tape.

May 17, 20197 yr Thanks for feedback. Those diaphragms in the picture were much more stretched then the previous I‘ve made. Seems I’ve to keep on trying to make diaphragms with the right tension.
June 22, 20197 yr Got sick of cords all over the place. DIY'ed a charging drawer using a cheap conference room table fixture from Amazon. Much cheaper than the commercial products that run around the $300 mark.
July 1, 20196 yr I finally cased up my uTracer. So much nicer to work with I still have a few refinements, but it's up and running now.
July 5, 20196 yr Nice! Have been thinking about the selector for a while… now I think I know its purpose.
October 12, 20196 yr Not today but over the course of the last week, finally got to use the Shapeoko to actually make something. A coworker from the central office is retiring after 46 years of Government service. I decided to make her a custom plaque. First prototype It's basically a relief of the island that the Shipyard is on. Prototype #2 Figured out that I was having some issues zeroing the Z axis, which were entirely user error. ?♂️ Final version: I got the shipyard to engrave the small brass tag, I haven't gotten to the point where I can do that yet. Next up, some signs for the local MTB trail network.
October 13, 20196 yr Thanks Kerry, it took way too long but I got there eventually. Should be fun to tinker with now and see what sort of fun/trouble I can get into. Somehow I have to avoid the immediate temptation to upgrade it.
October 20, 20196 yr Decided to have a little fun this weekend, work on the sign project, and cheer up a coworker who was having a rough time last week. Zero Fox coaster Trash Can trail sign I guess the next logical thing to do is work on a d-_-b coaster, right?

October 25, 20196 yr Gained access to a decent 3D printer and may be going down a rabbit hole. First project, parts for the Shapeoko to help manage dust. I've already printed the lower section as well and have the brush section arriving from Amazon tomorrow.
October 25, 20196 yr I see a Nate multi-addiction intervention group forming right now. Welcome and thanks for sharing. ?
October 25, 20196 yr That’s a great addi(c)tion Nate! Do you mind sharing which brush you got. I may need to do the same
