I will test them and then listen to both. I only plan to keep one so you can have the right of first refusal for the other if they both turn out to be fine.

Sweet. I imagine I'll take you up on that, as I only need one as well.

Yeah. And today the student radio station guys seemed really interested in the whole binaural thing.

I'd be very interested in your impressions of those. I do most of my running indoors in the gym, but I do run outside occasionally for extended distances (like once a week, 6 miles+), so I'd be interested to know how they feel to you when you exercise or run, indoors or outdoors.

Wouldn't have even known the AR existed if you hadn't dug it up. I am still looking for a nice vintage DAC for a full vintage system I want to put together.

Sonic Frontiers!

I heard it at a mini meet with the Quad ESL 63s and damn, they sound fucking great

I doubt you'll have it soon enough, but it would be fun to aim at the F5.

Yeah, I'm betting 15 days or so. I used a normal thermocouple to do the final tweaking for your F5. Those heat sinks are very nice. It does help that there isn't an enclosure per se :) The reason this is handy is for measuring the temperature of the tab on TO-3P devices, for example. I never had the surgeon's hand to do this with my thermocouple, as I always assumed it could easily short the tab to the case given a slight mishap.

I was thinking about getting a Fluke, but didn't know for sure if I could sell the thing based on taking the kid's temperature and baking alone. If I could have gotten those two applications, it would have been an easy sell.
