May 4, 201214 yr I watched season one of Game of Thrones last week. Damn that show is good. Now I have to find a way to watch season two.
May 4, 201214 yr I watched the first episode (well most of it)... and it did not catch me... Dang -- I guess I have to give it a real shot.
May 4, 201214 yr The books are dense, and the first couple of episodes are all about introducing characters and getting the story lines rolling. It gets good fast, and I actually read all of the books in record time (for me). Give it a shot.
May 19, 201214 yr Mongrels -- most hilarious show since Archer. I know of no other show that has a paean to not quite underage love ("What a Difference a Day Makes"). Lots of gruesome death, political incorrectness, references to contemporary culture, and slap-downs. Show got cancelled, but you can watch the entire series on Hulu. Season 2, episode 2 is the best one, and I don't think you need to watch them in order, but you might as well. Makes me laugh. Also Community (just finishing season), Castle (finished season), and Ringer (a little lost on that one). Waiting for season 3 of Archer from a friend. Need to catch up on Homeland and Game of Thrones (haven't started either one -- well, just the pilot of Homeland).
May 21, 201214 yr First episode of John Doe on YT. A favorite from youth past, benefical that my memory isn't great, as bits and pieces generally aren't enough to ruin a re-watch.
May 28, 201214 yr The Black Cat (1934) One of my favorite ambient albums of all time is Neural Network's Brain-State-In-A-Box. I'm tracking down all the films they sampled in it, and watching them.
May 29, 201214 yr First episode of Breaking Bad. Seems pretty good.Everything you could want from a pilot right? There are shockingly few non-great episodes ahead of you.
May 29, 201214 yr As far as Game of Thrones goes, I really enjoyed the books, but the series, not so much. I'm not sure why, it's quite well made, but it just fails to captivate most of the time. I've been liking River Monsters and Dual Survival lately. The first shows some genuine exploration from time to time and has a terrific host, while the latter shows genuine survival technique from time to time and has two terrific hosts. Even standard over-Americanized presentation can't quite bring these shows down.
May 30, 201214 yr Black Books This series is hilarious. That might be my favorite British comedy of all time.
May 30, 201214 yr Black Books is brilliant! on par with The IT Crowd, i think. You have piqued my interest!
May 30, 201214 yr I almost wet myself laughing during Girls on Sunday. Damn it was funny. Crack Spirit Guide is going to be my next profession.

June 2, 201214 yr Started Luther, My Own Worst Enemy (which can be streamed legally from the NBC site), Raines, and Person of Interest. All have been quite entertaining so far, though I'm feening for something that isn't character-based police procedural ilk. Second season of Game of Thrones is still backburning, saving it for an especially sucidal-depressive evening.
June 9, 201214 yr French Open final. Watching Maria Sharapova jump up and down, kissing babies. Also I finished both seasons of Luther, Alice Morgan can only be the perfect creature born of men's inverse fantasies: [media=] Edited June 9, 201214 yr by Kirosia
June 10, 201214 yr The Diamond Jubilee Concert (The full broadcast * ) *not the "edited highlights" on ABC
