February 9, 20179 yr I was supposed to play tennis this afternoon. Instead I am snowed in and have nothing to do but work and/or shovel. Worst snow day ever.

February 9, 20179 yr Of course my snowblower broke within the first 6 feet. Why wouldn't it? I paid good money for it, and now it's out of warranty. As the Donald would say: Smart! At least, 4 hours later, I can leave my house. Got a good workout, too.

February 10, 20179 yr We got about 4" from last night through this morning. Going to be back up to 50 on Saturday so I'm going to skip doing any shoveling.
February 11, 20179 yr We didn't get quite that much last week, Knucks. Probably 12" or so, but it keeps going up. We got another couple overnight and it snowed off and on all day. Like you, we're supposed to get dumped on tomorrow with the forecasted range of 8-14". We'll see. Certainly quite the change from two weeks ago when the ground was bare and frost starting to melt.

She DOES drive normally, but I'm pushing my boss to get her a car service; would be very worried with her driving around with a nasty storm leftover....

February 13, 20179 yr We got our annual snowfall here in the UK. About 1mm. And that melted overnight. Currently 10C (50F) during the day. Feels like spring.
February 13, 20179 yr Yeah, it was windy as shit here this morning, I think I may have been given my cold back. I went home early.
March 8, 20179 yr We're almost through a major winter storm that started yesterday afternoon. It didn't snow too much here, maybe 6", but the wind has been unrelenting and strong. There's a drift across my driveway that is about 3' deep. I took today off work, and will likely do the same tomorrow because the kids' school is closed again and my road hasn't been plowed yet.
March 8, 20179 yr Flight delayed from Detroit due to wind. Glad it is only that, but should be a fun takeoff.
