September 15, 201411 yr My UK iPhone 6 order shows delivery between the 9th and 16th of October. I'll just walk around talking into the empty case until then, Dinny-style. El reg confirms http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/09/13/apple_iphone_6_plus_shipments_delayed_in_uk/ its almost like the media reports of the shipping delays due to unexpectedly high demand, post-release, are by design ...
September 15, 201411 yr Oh, and make sure you walk in the right smartphone lane http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/11095439/Chinese-city-paints-street-lane-for-mobile-phone-users.html

September 16, 201411 yr My UK iPhone 6 order shows delivery between the 9th and 16th of October. I'll just walk around talking into the empty case until then, Dinny-style. Works just about as well as a phone that way, I'm sure.
September 16, 201411 yr Author Nah, it's not AT&T in the UK so their phones might actually work as phones. A kudos to Sammy on a hilariously on-point ad campaign. I think Apple is actually going to (re)make a dent in Android's market share as a result of finally offering a larger iPhone.
September 16, 201411 yr I installed IOS 8 on my iphone 5S last night. Seems pretty good so far, and t-mobile wifi calling works.
September 16, 201411 yr ^ Is the voice call quality over wifi noticeably different? I've also been running the iOS 8 GM since the keynote and it seems pretty nice. The biggest improvements I've noticed so far are to Safari. The rest of the updates seem fairly minor, though the new keyboard and autocorrect options are a welcome addition. I'm on AT&T so no wifi calling for me yet.
September 17, 201411 yr Real 1%ers don't have to deal with trivialities like real phones, they have people for that!
September 17, 201411 yr For those without Dinny-sims, Digital Trends is here to provide useful size comparisons.
September 17, 201411 yr I stopped the phone both at the local Costco the other day and played a bit with phablets. The note 2 and 3 are indeed quite large. I wanted to guesstimate if the phone would fit in one of the back pockets of a cycling jersey. It should not be an issue. The phone is quite large, but i think once you start using it.... .....
September 17, 201411 yr I have used a Note 2. Jersey is easy. I would put it in a zippered bag some socks came in. I could also fit it in my medium Bontrager seatbag with tube, tool, lever, patch kit, keys, ID, debit card. It felt large when I first got it, but quickly adapted. I came from a 4" phone, but now the 5.5 feels normal. Think of it like headphones... Your headphones don't break in. Your head does. **BRENT**
September 17, 201411 yr I figure your hands and pockets, and Colin's pockets, are the main exceptions around here. **BRENT**
September 17, 201411 yr Some good Gruber comments on size - http://daringfireball.net/2014/09/the_iphones_6
September 17, 201411 yr I'm going to buy new pants, so I can carry a 6 Plus in a pocket, then get an Apple Watch so I won't even have to take out the phone out of my pocket.
September 17, 201411 yr My short review - it's laggy on iPhone 5. Not sure how people with 4 and 4s will be able to use it. Also, 4.7gb needed to install. Basically had to empty my iPhone to be able to install it.
September 17, 201411 yr I upgraded my daughter's 5 with 1.5gb free Also, YouTube works fine on my 5s Edit: not embedded, good catch crap, and odd. Edit 2: embedded obeys the mute switch.
