The AKG K7xx series gets another release/rehash, this time as the K7xx by massdrop.

668 already sold when I looked earlier, up to 734 now.  Is there an upper limit to the number that will be allowed to be sold at US$200?  US$200 is a pretty excellent price for a K702 clone done by the company that made the K702.

Personally, it's difficult to believe the K70xx series has improved enough to warrant a repeat purchase for me, but if AKG ever wakes up and make a K1000 MkII with a bit more warmth and detachable cables, I'd be all over that 

K601? 

Doesn't really answer the detachable cable question, but the K601 are not given nearly enough respect while the K701 is given far too much. 

I never loved either of them enough to buy them.
