JH Audio stuffs

Featured Replies

Hey guys. Since I didn't get a satisfactory response from the other forum, I suppose I would ask here.

Do any of you use the Beta 22 with a JH13? If so, what gain setting do you use with it? If you also use some form of stepped attenuator that will be nice to mention. You see, I plan to build a Beta22 in the future but I'm still working out what gain value will be the best compromise for the low-Z JH13. I'm thinking of 5 or 6 in 3-channel configuration but first-hand anecdotes will be very helpful.

  • So a while back I washed my jh13's and one earpiece had a hole so the drivers got wet. Decided I had enough, put them in a draw and forgot about them. A week or so ago, I decided to see if they could

  • I may be going on a limb here but I am guessing you prefer your 780p monitor over your friend's 4K Samsung. My brother in law had the same preference when he told his wife on their twenty second

It is, at least in my opinion, a horrible idea regardless of gain setting.

you'll want a custom curve attenuator most likely. Nothing off the shelf will work. Also, get the gain as low as you can and have the amp still be stable.

That being said, I wouldn't do it.

Jeff, those look great and I'm glad to hear you got such a good fit.

The JH13 sound great with the Luxman P-1. Don't know about the Beta.

Vicki, I will try to get some pics taken of the JH13s and cable and amp in Boston or I will do it when I return from the road.

Those red JH13s look really really nice!

5 or 6 is too high for Audio Technicas with a pot, let alone an IEM with a stepper.

I caved and scheduled an appointment with my audiologist to get impressions made. Now I need to decide if I want any artwork. I do know that I'll probably go with solid white for the left ear and solid black for the right ear which is what I've always wanted to do whenever I think about customs (I'm a sick Lost-obsessed fan).

I appreciate the inputs, guys. I suppose there is the 2x gain but I'm not sure it's a good idea for the other high-Z cans. Back to the drawing board I guess. :D

Mine came in this morning. Fit seems to be good, they're comfortable and sound right. I'll see if they get irritating over time. As of now, I'm pretty darn happy.

Excellent! Make sure they're exactly right in terms of fit; it makes all the difference in the world. And post pics.
