November 6, 201312 yr I don't really know enough to defend it, but it's just a ranking system for farmers, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Could still be a local farm (well, outside SF). Edited November 6, 201312 yr by blessingx
November 11, 201312 yr Currently marinating chicken in a mixture of lime juice, salt, pepper, oregano, and olive oil and just finished roasting tomatillos for a fresh batch of salsa verde all in preparation for enchiladas tonight. The chicken will get grilled, shredded and then mixed with cheese for the filling and a portion of the salsa will get mixed with an egg and sour cream to form the topping. Easily one of my favorite meals to make and eat at home.
November 13, 201312 yr The fax couldn't hack it, Gene. Come back up next summer and I'll make you a batch along with some margaritas.
November 13, 201312 yr I owe you a great debt of gratitude, Shelly, for pushing me to use corn tortillas. My wife still doesn't like them (pfft) hence the 4 flour tortillas in the pan but I'll never go back.
November 20, 201312 yr Anyone know what this is? It came in a variety vegetable box and I haven't a clue how to cook it.
November 21, 201312 yr That's my guess. Use it to make fresh grenadine! Edit: Jim just beat me to it. Edited November 21, 201312 yr by shellylh
November 21, 201312 yr Oh, duh! I've had these before. My son loves them! I thought it came in the vegetable box, but must've come in the fruit box. I'm so easily confused. Thanks!
November 21, 201312 yr or eat it This. Open the thing, put the grains into a pot, add fruit juice of your liking, maybe some booze and sugar to taste. If possible, when pulling off the grains, don't touch the fruit innards or you hands will get a black stain for some time.
November 22, 201312 yr Assembled the ingredients to make habanero bitters. Now we let it steep for a week or so.
