They were like no-one else, before or since.  I used to collect their 12" singles.

If interested in deep diving, check out, And What Have You Done With My Body God?  It has the untampered version of the original Beatbox, as well as a metric buttload of hard-to-find tracks.

This is a hugely self-indulgent album that's also a lot of fun, in my opinion, and impeccably produced at least.

Fully concur on the fun recommendation. The first track is ultimately best skipped in my opinion but the rest made for a pleasant morning.

Watching/listening to a virtual concert set from Al1ce, Sandi Leeper, and a psychedelic group called lay/lie, which were completely unlike any of the other synthpop/EBM/electro cabaret bands that I've heard associated with Al1ce.

Esperanza Spalding and Fred Hersch - Live at the Village Vanguard

It's available only at Bandcamp through June, if purchased the profits go to the Jazz Foundation of America. I never heard Esperanza singing this good.

Reunited after 26 years, each of the members of the original Joshua Redman Quartet are too big to play under that name any more. Looking forward to the full album in July, but checking out a couple songs available.
