Put the supply lines on the faucet first! Then install the faucet. So much easier that way.

Atta Boy Ken!

I knew if I can do it (I'm great at other home DIY but plumbing,.. nyet!),..

If you fit a faucet with one of those hard plastic seals (between the faucet and sink top), put some plumbers putty under the seal. It'll make the faucet feel solid when you use it (plus, it's cheap and easy to use).

Well, the new faucet is in. What a fricken pita that was. At least it works. I agree, plumbing is rarely fun, especially on one's back under the kitchen sink. I'm going to be very sore tomorrow.

Nice tip, I may use that one myself. I hate the feel of a faucet that wants to slide around.

I used silicone rather than plumber's putty. I also put a bead in between the faucet and plate.

I like the plummer's putty idea better. Much easier once it's time to remove the faucet.

Yesterday we went up to NH to visit some friends who bought and are working on a small place by a lake. The weather was stunningly nice, and this was the scene off their balcony (sorry, so-so iphone pic)....a real nice relaxing day.

Spent all day Saturday moving 5 bikes, 1 tandem and 1 trike around to make room for the new trike. I need to sell some shit.

Drove from Charleston SC to Ashburn VA for a few weeks of work.

Jeez sorry for all that Jacob. I hope you're feeling better soon

I just got back from Tai Chi class. Now I'm sitting outside sipping coffee waiting for the 8:00PM showing of Skyfall.

At least you're in Florida Vicki. I broke my ankle in the middle of winter in Anchorage, and it happened to be a banner year for snowfall.

You'll be all healed up before you know it.

I like crotches! Crutches, well that's another story.

Go Vicki go!!! See them as self-defense plus auto-transportation devices. How long are you going to use them?

Toured a potential preschool with my wife this morning. Cobi Jones was also there with his wife, assumedly also trying to get a sense of the place he might try to send his progeny. A year away and we're already having to sort this business out. What has the world come to, where you're checking out preschools like colleges?

Wandering the streets of DC because Colin can't remember where he parked his rental car.
