Wild and Crazy Go Nuts!

  1. Started by arnesto,

I met this girl and we had been dating for a couple of weeks. I'm not really sure if it is going to work out into a steady relationship. I like her, but I'm not sure if she is the right girl for me. I know Valentines day is right around the corner. If I don't do anything special like taking her out to dinner that weekend, do you think she will dump me? I'm not against going out to dinner, but I am just concerned that it might ramp up expectations. I hope I don't sound like a loser.

I've been meaning to introduce y'all to Neko for a while. We got her back in November. She is my/our first dog. She is a Chinese Crested/Terrier mix that was rescued from a kill shelter on her last day. She is 3 years old and weighs 10.5 pounds. House broken and crate trained, it is a mystery how a dog like this ends up in a shelter. She is the most "velcro" dog I have ever seen, constantly wanting to be around Melody and I. She loves everyone, and the more people in the room the merrier. She is definitely a party dog. Her grooming keeps her mostly hairless, but hair does grow, and she looks really funny when she gets fuzzy. We love this dog!

  5. The Pepsi Refresh Project (Pepsi) is giving away millions of dollars to fund great ideas. Grants are awarded to any idea that makes it to the top ten by receiving the most votes. The non-profit organization I am voting for and supporting all this month is the I Am Innocent preventative program, which is in the running for $50K – they are dedicated to preventing wrongful convictions through education, prevention, and reform. You can also help them get the most votes! Here's how it works: Voting has begun and will continue until January 31, 2010. Voting will remain open every day through the month of January at which time the top 10 vote getters will be awarded…

My new Droid rocks the boat. My iTouch feels a bit dated now. Will my iPad, yet to arrive on this New Year's eve day, feel just ordinary as the New Year's dawns tomorrow? Five years hence, will Apple feel like Microsoft, and Microsoft like National Cash Register? Has Apple just introduced us to the new millennium, only to find themselves running to catch up after showing everyone else how to do it?

  8. Have a great one fellas! Cheers!

I thought I start a new thread about what you did today to get to know some of the head casers a little better . It could be anything from saying that you did nothing, exercising, walked the dog, listened to music all day long, went to the park, went to a party, went out for dinner, read my book, etc. I'll start off. Today I had a day off . First off I played with my son, watched the movie "Cars" again, lol. Then I ran on the treadmill and did some aerobic training. Now I'm listening to my HF-1s on the Beta 22. Hope everyone had a good day

My Sister who lives in Arlington (a few bolcks from Metro) called me today asking for help moving tomorrow, so I'm heading down to help (basically watching the movers). I'm going to stay at least through Saturday morning, so that gives me all day Friday to sight see. My last time in DC was in the early to mid 90's (visited the Holocaust Museum shortly after it opened), and I haven't been to the Smithsonian since the 80's. Where should I go? there was a burger place back in the 70's (Bon Appetite - President Ford use to send Secret Service agents there to get take out. When I was younger it was the air & space that drew me, now perhaps the National Gallery suits me …
